An Important Message for Victims of Sexual Assault & May is National Mental Health Awareness Month

Because May is National Mental Health Awareness Month here in the United States, the Rape Abuse & Incest National Network (aka RAINN.org) posted this exact message on their Facebook page concerning sexual abuse that I thought needed to be shared. Plus, this is a message I have been wanting to share for awhile on two very important issues. If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, please call 1-800-656-HOPE or visit http://online.rainn.org , the Rape Abuse & Incest National Network. I am not affiliated with RAINN.org nor was I paid to promote their organization. I felt their's was an important message to share, as not only does this topic hit home for me but many people are victims of sexual abuse and assault and this is the least I can do with the resources I have available to me. In the United States, May is National Mental Health Awareness month, which raises awareness about mental illnesses such as depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, while also drawing attention to suicide. More information: Rape Abuse & Incest National Network http://RAINN.org RAINN on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RAINN01 National Institute of Mental Health http://www.nimh.nih.gov/ National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ Mental Health Awareness Month at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_Health_Awareness_Month http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depression_(mood) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizophrenia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide I know this is a sobering message, but I needed to share it. Thanks to those of you who have taken the time to watch it. I wish you all the best, E.R.
