Hello everyone, I've been "forced" to take some time off for having the flu and then being Xmas and all that stuff that happens every year around this date :P

I've made the first concept for EmuDeck Rom Launcher, you can see it in the video above, this is not an animation, this is a real app using real games and real platforms to show what you see in the video. The hard part is what's coming next: on the fly automatic scraping, after that I'll do a early release for you guys, then finish the theme engine and maybe do a couple of themes, since they are going to be super easy to be developed.

The roadmap right now according to what you guys voted, ordered from most to least voted and with an estimated % finished is the following:

1.- SteamOS 2.2 Release -> This was not in the vote but we have to launch it too :) -> 90%

2.- CloudSync + BootMode -> 80%

3.- EmuDeck Rom Launcher -> 30%

4.- Direct Multiplayer -> 1%

5.- Android port -> 10%

6.- Autoparser -> 30%

7.- MacOS Port -> 90%

8.- OnionSync -> 99%

9.- Pegasus Parser -> 40%

The idea right now is to finish task #1 and work on the task #2 at the same time, and after than then start #3 while finishing either #7 or #8 since they are almost done and can be done at the same time.

This is not set in stone, though. Some new features could come up and be more urgent / important, cutting in line in the current roadmap, for instance there's still features missing for Windows that are in SteamOS... I really want to do an UI to select Wii controls on launch since there are so many alternatives, work more on EmuDecky so there will be a day where you won't need to use Desktop mode anymore... and some more ideas I have.

I'm looking forward to all these new features, and I hope you do too.

Happy holidays!

I know this is just a pipe-dream, but making it work and be cross compatable with the PS Vita and 3ds would be insane

Is there a way to slap this amazing theme on EmulationStation? lol

Keep up the amazing work, loving this hobby more and more every day. I’m looking to buy one of the Save The Hero devices and start my collection journey. Hope you feel better, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Autoparser is an interesting idea, I have enough issues with ROM detection requiring manual intervention that I’d imagine it’s quite a challenge to make that reliable. Good luck, get healthy, happy holidays!

Excited for all that is to come! Rest easy and take care of yourself. The retro games aren’t going anywhere ;)
