First of all I want to apologise to everyone, the releases of these past weeks had more bugs than features, I just wanted to make this patronage worth it by your money and time but by rushing things I've put quantity over quality, so from now on I'm back to a less rushed but steady development, giving me enough time to test everything multiple times before doing a release.

Most of the problems are related to the cloudSync changes, so if you still have issues please run the CloudSyncHealth script I posted this morning here:  https://www.patreon.com/posts/cloudsync-health-91571624 , I've added more checks and it even tries to fix stuff by itself. This on the future will transform into a full diagnostics tool for the whole App so autodiagnosis and fixes can be done by the user, but we're still far from that. About this release...

You guessed it, we have more bug fixes:

SteamOS + Windows

- Yuzu EA installation should work better now ( some tokens weren't being recognised by Yuzu's API, if you still have problems please send me a DM with your token so I can take a look at it )

- Fixed an issue that could make the DuckStation parser unavailable ( go to Manage Emulators -> Steam Rom Manager -> Standalone parsers to chose if you want to use a Standalone Emulator or RetroArch )

- Updated some SRM parsers that were disabled by default

- Fixed MegaDrive / Mega CD parsers. Now you can use either the genesis or megadrive folder for your roms.

Windows

- Fixed an issue where Yuzu's saved folders symlinks weren't being created, causing CloudSync saves being downloaded in one place and Yuzu saving games in a completely different location. (Go to Manage Emulators -> Yuzu -> Reset Configuration. Your saves will be copied to the proper Emulation\saves\yuzu\saves and Emulation\saves\yuzu\profiles. Make a backup of those folders since their contents will be overwritten )

SteamOS

- Steam Rom Manager can be launched from EmuDeck

- Fixed the notification when installing of Cemu Native, it no longer says that if failed even if it didn't.

- Fixed the Upload All Saves when setting up CloudSync.

- SRM and ESDE application icons fixed ( they will be created automatically when starting EmuDeck )

- PS2 CloudSync upload problems fixed.

How can I keep my custom Parsers when upgrading to new SRM versions? Or would there be a way to do the same thing as the userExceptions.json file that stores game exceptions?

Ok so I update to this new version and now all link.bat from emulators tools are broken it just says than yuzu.bat for example is not a valid internal command.... What can I do with this nothing is working in the steam interface to launch all my retro games ....boring

dragoonDorise

we sent an email some weeks ago, you need to update your SRM entries, we no longer use .bats to launch the games as that was slowing down cloudSync, you can read about it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/emudeck-2-1-19-86911540

I'm struggling here to figure out where we go for support with these new versions and where to post questions. I looked in the discord but I don't see a Channel for support, so I am posting on this update. I am a relative noob to Emulation which is why I am paying for the neat package that Emudeck brings. But since the last update, SRM on my Desktop Windows PC won't parse any of my games for Steam. It only sees Emulators. And on both my ROG Ally and Desktop, it is telling me my Retro Arch saves from my cloud save are out of date and while I can see them there, I can't use them so I have no saves. What am I missing? Like I said, noob and I am mostly just playing old N64 and NES games in Retroarch, so nothing super fancy. Any help?

Hello, I got the message upload file settings.ps1

I am actually using version 2.1.27 on both. The SRM issue is still happening on the desktop. But cloud sync, or specifically saves appear to be a problem. On the Ally, it is saving the Retroarch saves under c:\Emulation\saves\retroarch\saves. This is what I expect. And this is syncing to the cloud and back down to my desktop. But on the desktop, when I start a game, it doesn't read the save file even though it is there. It starts a whole new save every time. For instance, an N64 game saves to: c:\Emulation\saves\retroarch\saves\Mupen64Plus-Next I cannot figure out why the behavior is different for the Desktop. I have tried resetting/reinstalling Retroarch and Emulation Station.

Hey, thanks for the great work so far… I did an install on steam deck on windows. One issue I’m having is all the emus open in windowed rather than full screen. Anything I can look at to fix this? Thanks!!

Can someone help me, I’m trying to install Emudeck on windows, i’m a EA user but I can’t get my token, I’m getting a patreon page asking to grant permission to provide a token for Emudeck but the allow button doesn’t work, it does nothing so I’m stuck :(
