Hello everybody!

New update for our Early Access Patrons, first of all we are no longer going to use the Beta version of EmuDeck Windows, from now own both SteamOS and Windows will use the Early Access release, this will have the latest features available for Early Access patrons after being tested in our beta branch so you'll get features early but on a more stable fashion.

You can download both Early Access versions here:

SteamOS ( no need to download this if you have the previous early access too)

https://github.com/EmuDeck/emudeck-electron-early/releases/download/v2.1.6/EmuDeck-2.1.6.AppImage

Windows

https://github.com/EmuDeck/emudeck-electron-early/releases/download/v2.1.6/EmuDeck-Setup-2.1.6.exe

Ok, so What's new?

SteamOS

We've added Cloud Sync for the SteamOS version, now you can start on your Deck and continue on your Windows PC / Handlheld..or viceversa. This is a BETA feature, we've been testing it and we've added safeguards in case the cloud sync fails, or your system hangs, etc but just in case create a backup of all your saves before enabling it.

If you setup Cloud Sync, it will download all your saves for the Emulator you launch overwriting the ones in your local machine if they are older than what you have on the cloud.

Opening EmulationStation will download and upload all saves for all emulators so if you want to get everything synced asap just open EmulationStation first on the device you have the latest saves and then open EmulationStation on the second device where you want to have those saves transferred. After this first step just launch your games as always, only the latest files will be transferred.

Windows

- CloudSync Improvements to make it work with the SteamOS version.

- New emulators: Citra and Ryujinx.

- Steam input profiles to fix issues with Yuzu, Citra and Ryujinx, since those emus won't allow us to auto configure your controller. Follow this video to configure them on Steam: https://youtu.be/ra_B1axeFqU, this will allow you to exit any emulator by pressing SELECT + START for a few seconds and you can also change Citra's screen layout long pressing L1 and R1.

- New guided controller configuration after first installation with tutorial videos for Yuzu, Citra and Ryujinx

- Custom reset / install shows the same level of customization than EmuDeck for Steam OS has.

-  Improved Emulator installation and configuration from Manage Emulators

- New PCSX2 path installation fixing launching issues from EmulationStation  so You need to manually copy your saved games and states from the old PCSX2 folder to the new PCSX2-Qt

- Added missing Hotkeys for Dolphin, PCSX2 and DuckStation

- Fixed launching SteamRomManager from EmuDeck

As soon as you install both new versions go to Manage Emulators and update the configurations that are marked to get all these new features and make sure to update SteamRomManager configurations, update and run your parsers again to add all the Cloud Sync features :)

i dont think you guys understood. i have emudeck already. i just wanted the early access and other benefits. i Clicked and saved the above github link but i dont know what to do next and the video doesnt seem to show

You just download the Appimage from the link and you open it and that’s it. EA release can live alongside the public release. Instead of using the EmuDeck icon on your desktop you open the downloaded AppImage ( you can place them wherever you like )
