Hey guys,

I hope you've all had a great week so far!

I apologise for the radio silence over the last few days; I went down to Tokyo to film this latest video and I've been frantically editing it ever since. I've actually been planning on making this video for 3 years and somehow something has always stopped me.

Last year I filmed up all the observation decks in Tokyo, but I wasn't happy with the quality of the footage, so this week I went out to re-shoot it all and make it a bit more dynamic.

I also wanted to try something a bit more experimental in the opening minute using a few techniques that seem to have become popular (mainly involving zooming around). I'm fairly happy with how it came together!

What'd you reckon though? WHERE IS the most romantic spot in Tokyo? Share your wisdom and thoughts below for fellow Patrons visiting Tokyo!

Chris

(P.S. And for the curious few among you, unfortunately this video got demonetised too. The last video with Ryotaro was ok and I was starting to feel a sense of relief; but apparently Youtube is still determined to screw this channel haha).

Just re-watched it by accident and IMMEDIATELY noticed the missing opening sequence! How come you've removed it?

The internet says you can upload videos unlisted and get them manually reviewed... https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/926547992831778817

I find that in the spring/summer season, Tachikawa Showa Park is an amazing spot. It's a little ways outside of central Tokyo (40 minutes with the rapid line), so they have an amazingly big park, and they have exquisite seasonal flowers and plantlife year round! They also have a fairly large sports-area, with cricket, petanque, futsal, disc golf (18 holes!) amongst others.

Great video again Chris! I find the night view inside the Tokyo Tower pretty romantic. Especially during the Milky Way Illumination in the summer. They played one hell of a mesmerizing tune in the main observatory. I would recommend to go there on a weekday, it's a bit too crowded during the weekend...

I recommend a shrine dedicated to me. Read up on shrines and Daikon.

Most romantic view in Tokyo is that of Tokyo Bay from either the Intercontinental, Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba or Grand Pacific Daiba Hotels.

If I ever make it to Japan I definitely want to go in the autumn. The trees look fantastic! Glad you were able to spend time with your friends in the park. Haha Saw that bit coming a mile away but it still gave me a good laugh. 😂

I suppose it's because it's above water and that's always kind of romantic and... Don't know, because it connects two lands that otherwise would be forever apart? No idea, never really thought about it. Really like how you edited the vid, very nice!

I was thinking the same about bridges. They connect two lands. What's not romantic about that? I like the edits as well. Chris, you're pretty good at this stuff!

Hey, the music in your videos can sometimes be brilliant! The intro song in this masterpice of a video, i hope its a complete song, sounds amazing. Would love some more info on that as you keep production going forward., and where can i buy the intro song! /Best wishes from Sweden

Mori Tower at dusk/evening is my favourite view of Tokyo and the most romantic in my opinion. In the Christmas time, it's also I also really liked Inokashira Park in Mitaka - add on Ghibli Museum, and it'd be a really good date day if the two of you are into anime.

Thank you so much for this! I'm adding Mori Tower to my list of places to go when I arrive Nov 20th!

Maybe Ryotaro is behind the demonetization? Maybe only videos involving him are safe? He's up to something nefarious, that's for sure XD

Anonymous

Love the video and defiantly adding them to my must visit places for my japan trip! As far as the demonetization goes, well that's why I became a patreon! hopefully we help offset the enormous loss!

Marx

Why on earth did this get demonetized too? Christ almighty.

What we see: Where is Tokyo's most romantic view What the YT algorithm sees: Where to have rumpy pumpy in Tokyo.

I loved this - as others have said your film-making and editing skills grow with every vid. As to YouTube - they're obviously missing something in their algorithm because even with the falling in the park half second of "bad" language it's a great family friendly (not to mention Japan tourist industry-friendly) video.

Chris, as a single man who celebrates his "forever alone moments" everyday I request you do a video on how to find love in japan. If you can't then please show me a place where I can pick up a body pillow 👍. On a serious note I'm glad to be a patron. Keep it up sugar daddy. #USA

You're such a romantic :D I guess the look on Tokyo tower at night together is kind of romantic. And of course being on a swan boat at the Ueno park lake (especially during Hanami season).
