Commercial License (Patreon)

Hi Everyone,

I've had a lot of questions about my commercial license, so I hope this clears up a lot of the confusion. Big thanks to CzePeku for helping me with the commercial license wording.

Using the Battle Maps in Commercial Products

The commercial license is available to my Gold Tier Patrons and above. Gold Tier Patrons (and above - Diamond, Platinum, and Adamantium) are permitted to use all of my original art work and battle maps in their published content.

Attribution

If you use any of my battle maps or art work for any commercial reason, I require that you include the following:

- My name in the credits as a cartographer/artist or under some other relevant title (“Cartography by Domille’s Wondrous Works” or "Art by Domille’s Wondrous Works") with a link to " www.patreon.com/dww"

- (Optional) A link to " www.patreon.com/dww" beneath or beside the battle map/art or in another prominent location near the battle map/art. Alternatively, you can include my watermark that is attached to this post, on the bottom right corner of the battle map or art work you are using. The water mark must be clearly visible and legible in the final published material if you opt for this option.

Applicable Artwork

All of the battle maps and art work provided on the Domille’s Wondrous Works Patreon are available for commercial use at Gold Tier, except for any map made in collaboration with another artist.

The following maps are some of those excluded from the commercial use license:

Shards of the Storm

Tarrasque

Lease-a-Lair Geomorph Collab

Meezul’s Mysterious Mansion

Geomorph Collaboration with Misjay Maps

The Temple of Hydra Island

Temple of the Serpent

Dark Realms Battle Map

Any map project that states it was a "collaboration" or "collab"

The commercial use license only includes Domille’s Wondrous Works Battle maps and art work. This commercial use license does not include encounters, Foundry content, or any other content I release that is not battle maps and art work.

Restrictions on Use

The battle maps and art work are available only for use within other publications, for example: adventures, modules, world building and character supplements, etc. the maps themselves are not available for rehosting or resale as standalone items.

In addition:

1. You may not recolor, resize to alter proportions, modify, adapt, or disassemble the work in a way that distorts the original. The exception to this is: I allow you to desaturate the maps for greyscale/black and white publications.

2. You may not use my work as the basis for any other physical or digital merchandise or promotional items, such as but not limited to t-shirts, greeting cards, mugs, posters, prints, etc.

3. You cannot use the work (in whole or in part) as a trademark, service mark, logo, or other indication of origin, or as part thereof, or to otherwise endorse or imply the endorsement of any goods and/or services.

4. You are not authorized to sub-license, sell, or lease the work, nor may you temporarily or permanently transfer your rights under this agreement to a third party. This includes displaying the maps or art work in any format for download on a website, offering the maps for sale, or otherwise for distribution and/or sale to third parties.

5. Use of the battle maps in a way that can be considered generally offensive, obscene or immoral is strictly prohibited. This means the battle maps and art work are not available within any material that promotes racism, homophobia, transphobia or bigotry of any kind.

6. Use of the battle maps in such a way that it appears Domille’s Wondrous Works endorses your product.

Exceptions for Streaming

If you plan to use my battle maps in a video, stream or podcast, on Twitch, YouTube or similar video platforms, you do not need to obtain this license and you may use the non-watermarked versions of the battle maps on your streams.

If you are using our battle maps for streaming purposes we expect the rules under Attribution to still be adhered to and we expect you to be a patron of the tier of battle maps you're using whilst streaming the maps. For example, if you are using our $5 tier maps on your stream, we expect you to be a $5 patron during the time of the stream.

Further Use Requests

If you would like to use the non-watermarked versions of the battle maps in your commercial products or to print the full-resolution battle maps alongside your commercial products (for instance in a starter kit or other Kickstarter project) you must contact me directly and seek explicit permission.

I will only offer this on a case-by-case basis and expect either a flat sum offer or profit share offer in the email.

I will not provide the maps for exclusive use under any circumstance.

Support Duration to Maintain the License

If you would like to use my maps for commercial purposes, please be sure to be signed up to my Patreon for at least a year after the release of your product that uses my art or battle maps, at Gold tier, without limitations to your pledge, i.e. you support every release I make - of which there can be 3 or 4 every month. If you end your support earlier than stated above, your commercial license is revoked. If you have multiple products that use my work, you would need to be signed up to my Patreon for a year after the release of the latest product.
