Joshua Beta 1 and Claire Beta 2 (2001) (Patreon)

This is an ancient drawing I made in the year 2001 about The Beta Rays' Fifth Season. I was nine years old then, and I still haven't defined the whole individual stories for each one of my O.C.'s. xD

Then, my drawing style was barely being defined, and I barely started to re-plan and change lots of things, stuffs and matters in my own book. The first version was written by myself, by hand between 1994 and 1998, but my both parents destroyed almost all the original text and all the original illustrations on Autumn, 1998 using their divorce as pretext to "destroy the past and start again" (indeed, that was horrible; it implied I should be conceptually destroyed too). So, I re-built by heart most of the plot and all my characters' appearance plus I added some new features such as new characters (created in 1997 and 1998), new episodes (created by "inspiration" in 1997, 1998 and 1999), new plot twists and three more seasons (added in the years 2000, 2001 and 2002). And although the very first material consisted of just some rough lines and rough sketches in a little notebook, the new material became larger (three whole 200-page notebooks written by hand, by myself, with better handwriting), richer (lots of doodles everywhere, like a medieval manuscript) and more complex (reading and adult version of "The Arabian Nights" left me some sequels and side effects; the improvement of my drafting technique was one of them). Nowadays, this is one of the very few of drawings that could survive to a series of disliking events that happened to me in the year 2007, along with 60 pages from the 600 I had written at ages 8, 9, 10 and 11. xD

On this drawing Rebecca Gamma 3 (the little portrait on the drawing) used to be the main female star of the plot. During the period of the "second draft" (1998-2002) my O.C.'s had not a name yet (only nicknames and vague references to address them), and this drawing was part of the draft for the Fifth Season of "The Beta Rays". According to my own memories and other parts of texts I wrote along with this (based on the very tiny and "shy" handwriting written with a ballpoint pen), this drawing dates from the very early beginning of the year 2001. The notes written with a pencil dates from the year 2008, and they indicate the moment where this scene must be included. xD

Joshua  and Claire used to have a normal, common height and weight, and looking like 16-age youngsters. I hadn't created the lingerie armor as it is  nowadays yet (that happened in the year 2003). Their hair weren't as long as they are yet. But you already can notice their main features: Androgynous look, twin-like appearance and skimpy clothes. xD

People never believed in me when I tell them I created this couple in the year 1994, at age 3, but this paper maybe could prove it as it was made with a ballpoint pen with no pencil bases. I just "guessed" the anatomical proportions, and despite the rough and discontinuous lines (I still haven't developed my drawing skills well enough) and the fact I couldn't understand the concept of depth (I needed glasses; without them, I can't perceive depth), I already was attempting to shade it and adding a basic background. xD
