Red Hawk gotta be one of the best moves. Jet pistol + Haki is so sweet (shoutout the ace inspiration)

564 is really good. It's got everything! Generational hatred. Indoctrination of youth. Idolisation of suicide bombers and terrorists. The fish klux clan... Joke aside, I sort of wish more of the arc had this darker edge to it, to give it a bit more of an identity. But I get it. It's One Piece.

I mean... Red Hawk is very cool indeed. But I must admit, seeing that Luffy can suddenly not only fight undewater... but also spontaneously generate flames... in the sea(?!)... (even if that's supposed to be metaphorical flames)... I think it's also a little silly.

Well Sanji can use Diable Jambe in water too and that is not strange to you? The way i see it Red Hawk is combiantion of Gear 2 heat, haki and increased speed for friction.

...I'll be honest, I did not even think to question Sanji's fire underwater. With Red Hawk, I think it has more to do with being underwhelmed by the fight against Hordy as a whole, so my tolerance for absurd shonen shenanigans and my suspension of disbelief were pretty low at that moment, and so the impact of the punch missed me. But I get it. The One Piece universe basically half runs on pure willpower and cartoon physics, so I'm not really upset about it. Just mildly perplexed. (Is it just on mobile that the order of the comments is all out of whack?)

Your issues (not really issues but my vocab isn’t up to par lol) are super warranted. Fire underwater is wild but similarly, I just put it up to shonen shenanigans 🤷‍♂️.
