Bataar Jr is a non bender like his father. And I do think Kuvira Loved him as much as she could. But she also had the chance to take out the avatar and some of her major Enemies. And I think standing and controling a giant Mecha Tank with the most powerful weapon ever build kinda pushes one over the édge of sanity. Part of me would have loved to see that Kuvira is more or less forced to take Republic CIty as in a more Real world scenario she would have. Meaning even Dictators dont Rule alone. She has to have powerful supporters (many of the Rich People she left with from Zhaofu. Oligarchs. The way she wrestled control over the Earthkingdom and replaced it with Nationalism. (similar to late 19th/ earlly 20th century europe.) United Republic is always a contested point and 80 years wouldnt put much of a dent in Border disputes. In a real World Scenario Kuvira is replaceable by another dictator so likely she couldnt just say: No we dont need to unite everything. It would make her look weak. (Considering what Damage she did with that weapon in a few shots. ) Great Reactions. And good catch on her emotions. Many just think she never cared for him. So sad to know its soon over.
