Damn Korra really got bodied huh

It's all mental now. Korra got the poison out, and has been healed physically, but mentally she is still suffering from PTSD. Not to mention she is very rusty, and has hardly fought in 3 years. You can see the loss of muscle mass in her character design. This is precisely why Kuvira baited her into a fight. "I know you are a little rusty". Until she gets her mental state resolved it's going to be hard for her. However if this was Korra before she fought Zaheer this match would not have lasted long. Korra would have destroyed her.

Like Toph says, "Imagine me in my prime. I would have destroyed you, hahaha." Korra pre-Zaheer would have wiped the floor with Kuvira, and had time for seconds.

Yeah I absolutely love the small detail of her losing her muscle definition. Such a good detail by that animators.

Nah Korra losing makes a lot of sense. You’re forgetting she was so far down from her usual self, she was in a WHEELCHAIR.

There's also the fact that the show established Kuvira to be a really strong fighter in the first episode. Kuvira wasn't a pushover.
