That's the reason for most hate toward the series, MAPPA called season 4 the final season too soon, they still had 60+ manga chapters to adapt once they started season 4. As SNK was a monthly manga, it had 45~55 pages each chapter, so that's too damn much to adapt in a single season. If they called it season 4, 5, 6, 7, ppl wouldn't be talking so much shit, cus the adaptation is incredible so far.

still, for monthly mangas they usually adapt 1 chapter = 1 episode, so, that means 49 episodes to adapt, too much for 1 season.
