Just a heads up, but episode 12 is another 48 min episode and it has a different ending song. The opening of season 2 (episode 13+) has a small spoiler untill s2 episode 3/episode 15. Season 2 ending doesn't have any spoilers. Episode 25 has the final credits with its own unique song.

Shirou is saying he’s used to seeing dead bodies because he has ptsd from the fuyuki fire. He was like 6 or 8 when it happened. In the visual novel, he constantly had flashbacks to the event, but they cut out a lot of them from the anime.
