Sorry for the multi responses, but also important to point out that Irina and Karasuma couldn't even look at each other when the truth comes out. There was just as much chance Irina could have been taken as the reaper, with how good of an assassin she was. It was all chance and I feel like that ways on her.

Final comment I promise, in the dub, which btw I HIGHLY recommend as someone whose watched both multiple times. Irina has a really profound English saying, "Feeling are hard to kill.
