Hey! Remember the 90s?! Yes, as someone who was born in 91 and lived through that decade, I do have a lot of love for it. I'm not going to sit here and say there wasn't a lot of trash, there was definitely plenty of that. However, there were also a lot of projects with a ton of heart and passion!

And then there was Mummies Alive, which often felt like a cheap attempt at cashing in on Gargoyles after the writers from the third season of that show jumped over to this one. Don't get me wrong, I love Mummies Alive in spite of its unfaithfulness to Egyptian mythology, but its definitely got issues.

Regardless, it's one of those shows that has an AMAZING body-swap episode that's worth talking about! So "Who's Who?" revolves around one of the recurring villains of the series, Bes, using a magic coin to swap everyone around. He swaps the mummies with each other, along with swapping Presley with the mummy cat, Kahti.

Things get even more wild when Scarab, the series' main villain, ends up body-swapped with the dog-like Ammut. Pretty much most of the main cast (except for Presley's mother) ends up body-swapped in this episode and it's magical and quite fun. The interactions between the characters really make it for me, especially when you have so many varying body types and species thrown into the mix. Animal to human swaps are always fun to play around with, especially love Presley having to deal with the struggles of being a cat or not being able to call for help from the Mummies like he normally could.

It's definitely a fun scenario and I like how it doesn't try to force a lesson down our throats, it's just good cartoony fun. And that's what a swap should be, just fun chaos. I'd have to give the swap itself a 9/10! The show itself is more like a 6 or a 7, nothing too special or amazing, but a serviceable action show.
