So, AI is taking the world by storm now. Heck, my brother-in-law just ranted to me about how "AI is the future" and that anyone who doesn't invest into it is dumb and that it'll destroy all or most jobs, etc. I honestly don't believe that. AI can be a tool to help people, but it should never be a tool to replace hard work.

However, there's the question of AI content in regards to body-swaps. When you think about it, body-swaps play off the idea of being someone else. You wouldn't expect a machine to understand that concept, which is why AI RPs based around body-swaps often slack.

They get confused easily if you don't word every sentence correctly. They've gotten better, but genuinely you're better off RPing with a friend who shares the same interests as you. It's just messy with a machine!

Now, RPs aren't the only thing you can do with AI. AI generated voices are also a big thing, but those are far more tricky and complex. In order to make the voices sound authentic or like real people, you usually have to train them on someone else's voice or try different editing tricks.

What this does mean with AI, is that you theoretically could use it to make characters act as if they are in each other's bodies. Or another example is that if two characters in a show or move swap bodies AND voices, you can use AI to un-swap their voices. What this means is essentially, you could use computers to have the characters talk in their original body's voices.

Now, this is honestly kind of a shitty use of AI. It'd be better to pay impressionists to do this, then give their job to a machine. Now this is just my thoughts on it. I do think AI can be a tool for good if used correctly.

But for body-swap content? I just don't really see that working out well. I and several other content creators pour our minds, bodies, and souls (literally and figuratively) into our works and that's something a machine just can't do.
