Hey Patrons!

I'm excited to announcement the highly anticipated release of Nemesis! The first entry in this collection is: Vraezis The Enduring, a promising young wizard who stole a cursed tome and is now descending down a path of darkness!

Patrons can learn more about Vraezis by checking out this post and downloading the 13-page PDF, along with art, tokens, and maps to help you add this misguided fellow to your D&D campaign!

What is Nemesis?

Reflect back on your favorite stories, the ones where you really connected with the hero and felt joy when they succeeded. What do they all have in common? An enemy that equaled or surpassed them in strength, with motivations that guided their actions in a meaningful way.

The purpose of Nemesis is to give Game Masters NPCs that can be introduced early in a campaign, with content to help them develop a meaningful connection with the player's characters. After all, it is difficult to call yourself a nemesis if the players don't care who they are fighting and can't remember a name...

Every month, we will add another Non-Player Character (NPC) to our Nemesis Collection, which is available to patrons at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers. These NPCs will have developed backstories, with progressing statblocks and quest hooks to help you integrate them into your campaign with a meaningful plot. In addition, we're including art, tokens and encounter maps relevant to the NPC.

Each Nemesis (NPC) Will Include:

  • Unique Art, with a portrait & token you can show your players
  • Developed Backstory, including motivations and personality traits so you can easily roleplay the Nemesis
  • Multiple Statblocks & Quests, so you can use the Nemesis in multiple tiers of play within your campaign.
  • Custom Magic Items, with their features included in the NPC's statblocks so you don't need to figure anything out during combat. Art included!
  • Encounter Maps, related to each quest, so you don't have to search for your own

We hope you'll enjoy integrating these Non-Player Characters into your campaigns, and look forward to hearing the stories of how your players fought their Nemesis!

I am very intrigued by this idea. I often hear that a great villian is one that interacts with the players over time, much like we see in cinema. Nemesis NPCs seems like just the ticket a DM needs for this.
