Hey Folks,

We hear a lot of praise about our Unearthed Spoils series on the interwebs... but I want to know what you, our valued Patreon Supporters, think of our monthly digital magazine.

I think it is a fairly safe assumption that you are enjoying the supplement as you keep your subscriptions active, but this is your chance to please give us some feedback.

You can comment on anything: content, art, delivery, previews... absolutely everything about this supplement is fair game. We've really enjoy working on each upcoming release in this series, and want to make sure we're making the type of content you want as well!

This poll is open & viewable by folks who subscribe to receive Unearthed Spoils, so please feel free to share your honest thoughts (praise or criticisms).

I'd change only a few things. First, we are late in the 5e cycle, so the generic/common things have all been done by dozens of third-party developers, including by your own team. I don't need more goblins because they're super common and there's already lots of products dedicated to them, I need more things like that great new bodak which is a niche creature and there aren't a whole lot of them. In general, I'd really like to see the balance tip a bit more towards the niche end. Not pure niche, just more. Second, this is a big one: It is an open license, but the community doesn't act like it. In software, with open source code, nearly every developer uses other people's code. In 5e, never. I cannot think of a single 5e product where one third-party developer uses another developer's open content. Please, find someone and partner with them. Encourage them to make an adventure using your monster stat blocks or with an NPC that uses some of your spells or to have them make a new subrace of those great large-sized centaurs from Into the Fey. Build those bridges and really make the open license open. The ORC license is trying to do that, but I would love to see it spread through 5e. Fusion content. Actual open content.

The one thing that hs me constantly stumped is the fact that in the module overview in Fantasy Grounds, it can be hard to find them - searching for 'spoils' or 'unearthed' gives nothing, I have to remind myself it's supposed to be "USDM" :)

We've noticed this as well, and now all of the Unearthed Spoils modules have been updated to have their proper names (Unearthed Spoils instead of USDM). Please make sure you update Fantasy Grounds to get the new modules.
