You are not going to believe this, but I was 100% sure I posted this because I edited it last week. But my dumb ass never made the post.

Let's see... 1 - When Rita stays the night with him the first time, the day when he tells her he's A god (not THE god... I don't think) and he still wakes up on Groundhog Day? Brilliant subversion there. (Having seen the movie, it's obvious he had growing to do, but the first time? That's a pretty hard curveball.) 2 - I HATE how he tells Rita he loved her the moment he saw her. That's lame. I think it works 1,000x better if he fell in love with her as he got to know her. Obviously. 3 - When Rita said "you speak French?" he should've replied "Un poco". 4 - I love how frantic he gets the day after Rita rejected him. Fantastic escalation. 5 - If a woman I pursued said she always drank to world peace... that's an admirable goal, but take it down a notch. 6 - ... why did they have to dunk on Chris Elliot (Larry) like that at the end? Having him go for 25c or whatever... that seems unnecessarily cruel. What did he do to deserve that?

I am glad you enjoyed it Ana. I voted for it because it was the perfect reaction movie for February. (Even if you forgot to post it in February. ;) ) It combined both a romantic movie and a movie about Groundhog Day.
