Yeah, I'm definitely nowhere near as enamored of this show as you are. I really enjoyed Ruby's growth through the first... 2 seasons? But I couldn't really connect with any other character... if Ruby has a satisfying conclusion to her arc in the 4th (final?) season, maybe I'll come back and watch it for that, but I think I need to be reassured that she will because otherwise I'm not sure I care enough about anybody else to spend my time on the show. I just liked her growth, how she became a more interesting, nuanced character and Otis was at his best with her... but to me it seems like the writers are invested in Maeve as the ultimate love interest and only set up Ruby as a detour for Otis - simply based on my knowledge of how these types of shows typically operate - so I'm not optimistic... but we'll see. I'd like to be proven wrong.
