Funny context for episode 4, Mac and Dee are married in real life and Charlie and the waitress are married in real life.

Loves Bitca

Though Mac and Dee (Rob and Kaitlen) were not married yet then, or even dating in the beginning of the show. They got together after they'd worked together for awhile and got married in 2008. While Charlie and the Waitress were already married before the show started.

LookingForOwls

This show was born from an idea that sitcoms like "Friends" eventually aged themselves out of being funny, because the funny parts were the toxic parts of the characters, and those shows always had their casts' lives improved over time, like getting married etc. So they created a show where the main casts' toxic attributes never get worked on, and in fact get worse over time. The stuff in season 1 is tame compared to the depths that these characters will sink to bringing many other supporting characters down with them.
