It's so fun going back and watching your reactions because I'm noticing a lot of stuff that already got referenced in S5. Like Rick in this episode says "let's lick tits" and then Summer says it in 5x01, Rick and Morty mention "d-daying" "mermaid puss" at the end of Ricklantis Mix-up and then they also reference it in 5x01 to Mr. Nimbus, etc.

Also Morty asks for a laser whip and he gets it in 5x02 when the decoys fight at the house!! I love the continuity and attention to detail

I really feel like season 4 is just significantly worse than the first 3. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near as good, ep to ep, as 1-3. Feels like the best ep from 4 is worse than the worse from 1-3. Maybe that's harsh... but honestly, I don't think so. I largely enjoyed the snake ep; the sequence when the snake landed and there was no dialogue was just great story-telling; I appreciated that. Oh well.

I just realized: maybe the two best sequences in this season have no dialogue. The aforementioned snake landing and the entire sequence in the Vat of Acid episode where Morty meets that girl, dates, gets in a plane crash, gets back... just such *phenomenal* story-telling (both, but especially the latter) with no dialogue. Damn. I honestly thought the Vat of Acid ep was really pretty lackluster; it really fell flat for me. EXCEPT for that sequence... that ended with Jerry just being *the fucking worst*! I've never, ever, ever hated Jerry more. Fuck that guy so much.
