Really glad you enjoyed it! The title is a bit odd, so I think people often don't know what to expect. I think this film manages to be both really funny and a pretty good action movie in its own right. Simon Pegg said they weren't trying to sneer at the action movie genre when they made it, so it wasn't really a spoof. Angel's ex-girlfriend in the mask was played by Cate Blanchett. David Bradley (Arthur Webley, the guy with all the guns in his barn) played Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films, and also Walder Frey in Game of Thrones. Simon Skinner was played by Timothy Dalton (most famous for playing James Bond). Oh! I didn't recognize Edward Woodward who starred in the excellent horror movie The Wicker Man (the original 1973 version, not the unbelievably terrible 2006 remake with Nicholas Cage). I also didn't spot the references to that movie in Hot Fuzz. Oh well. 😀

Really enjoyed this reaction, I just used my own copy of the movie. No biggy. I haven't done any serious video editing in a long time, so the sync issue was really interesting to think about. My theory is that the frame rate of the movie and the frame rate of your reaction aren't the same. The reason I think that is because of the frame rate of a movie changes, there's an imperceptible change to how fast a movie is playing. If the movie goes from 29 to 30 frames per second it plays back the video a little bit faster. Then, the longer the movie goes on, the more does it leave the audio behind, causing these sync issue that get worse over time. I wish I could help with how to solve that, but I have no clue about editing software these days.
