Well done for finding the crash then; makes me wonder how many people have reached that scene as you're the only one to report it so far. Perhaps I should get somebody to make a dialogue tree of the game's choices.

Play around with starting stats and you can easily get enough money to complete the scene, although it doesn't lead to much at the moment. Next month I'll be adding more story though, along with some way to get enough money to progress.
