The Golden Compass, Chapters 19-23 (Patreon)

Good morning, Patrons! Today we have the final chapters of The Golden Compass, and I was very happy to hear that Owen really liked these chapters and is super curious to find out what could possibly be in the coming books. Which world is it that Lyra has stumbled into? Ours? The version of Baghdad that Dream keeps in a jar? Which?

This has a real twist in it that I should have seen coming the first time I read it, but I didn't, and neither did Owen. He suspected Asriel was evil, but he didn't know what the hell his goal could possibly beIt's funny how obvious it seems on a second read-through, but it still comes as a shock when Lyra wakes up and Roger is gone. After everything she did to try and save him, she brought him right to the door of the predator who needed him most. 

I hope that you enjoyed our coverage of this book, and we are going to be doing the movie over the weekend which you all will get exclusive access to. I'm not sure if we will be starting the next book right away or not, it depends on when Roshawn gets back, but I will keep you all posted.
