The Broad-Cast, Episode 11- Word To Our Moms (Patreon)

Good morning to my gorgeous and fabulous patrons! I hope your weekend was awesome, and that you're ready to get this thing started. Candace and I are here to fill your earholes with entertainment and information. 

It's no secret that maternity leave in the US sucks balls. Mostly because it doesn't exist. Some companies DO provide it, but it's considered a perk instead of a basic right to any human being that works and also plans on having children, and usually what is provided is the bare minimum, unpaid. It's kind of startling to see the number of people who claim to be for "family values" and are "pro-life" doing a complete 180 when it comes to actually caring for the child they fought to save, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. 

And then there's the issue of whether, if you decide to take the time off on your own, you will still have your job when you come back in. Businesses are fraught with accusations of demotions and firings that are allegedly due to the woman either being pregnant or a new mother. Once again, ask many of the business owners and I'm sure some of them would tell you that they're pro-life...until it comes time to put their money where their mouth is.
