Hey guys!

So, this took a lot of work, but I've successfully updated Malise's hair!  I took feedback from your guys' comments on my original hair proposal and decided to attempt simply improving the current model.  TK helped out by creating a prosthetic addition to thicken up the geometry in the back and ponytail.  She also has a hairline now!  Ohhhh weeee!  I think the results are really solid, but it was definitely a chore fixing all the glaring issues.  I've made a gallery showing before and afters , and have also made a set of GIFs showing the same .  

I think you'll be surprised how much it was necessary when you compare the old with the new!  The crappiness of the old hair is a lot more obvious with the new directional lighting style, and is especially obvious in HD/closeups.

Anyways, expect a more thorough update tomorrow including the last couple of weeks of progress from APL and TK!  I think you'll be impressed with how far APL has come with the new engine!

That hair does look MUCH better :) Just a bit sorry to hear that so much work was put into making the old hair look better because if there ever was a time to interject and propose a new hairstyle… it was while you were reworking everything for the renders… Guess I snooze I lose huh? :P Well I’ll just send you the paint over I was working on ideas for Malise… Maybe you will like the slight tweaks I made on the body suit. It’d be fairly easy to make these adjustments with just editing the textures and Normal maps. Going through the whole game withouy a single sex attack succeeding. Features to fix this would be super easy to implement. You could add any of the following to the options menu: removing pieces from outfits at will, enemies cause lust faster, sex attacks are uninterruptible, restoration machines only lower lust to a certain minimum 300-500 maybe). Then sex art you put so much work into would be more visible in normal play throughs

Hey nice work! I think people would flip if Malise's hair style changed dramatically, but it's a neat look for another character or NPC :D. We dig the shoulder styling, but it may look messy when her arms are up in the air and they have to crease. I learned this the hard way with Neon's frames. Will have to test some stuff out!

Yup I figure the hair was WELL into the grandfathered in point... But I thought it was worth a shot. :P And i totally get the other comment. Being a 3d artist I know all too well that shoulders are tricky... If you got the rigging in down tight then it wouldn't be an issue... But I'm all too aware that sometimes you get things to the good enough point and just have to call it good. But yeah I really hope you like the zipper idea with the red ribbing on either side. I see how you are color coding Neon and Malise to have a cool contrast with each other so you threw some red in on Malise... But I always felt the red zipper was a tad odd and Gold and black is classy ASF. :P Well anyways enough interjecting. Can't wait until the next demo!

Gotcha! That's pretty much to be expected right now. We're going to do what I'm calling a difficulty overhaul probably sometime around the artwork overhaul in which the goal is to add a lot of customizable settings. Just as importantly, we're planning on having difficulty presets that should give the player a better idea as to the type of experience they'll have or what play style may be right for them.
