Inner Circle Update for September 30 2017! (Patreon)

Don’t think that I’ve forgotten what I said in the last update! I’m stopping by to show my progress on Neon’s armor conversion for the new rendering engine. I was hoping to have it finished, but am probably about 70% complete at this point with around 35 hours in on it. I still have to create some additional textures to improve the legs and arms, and then work on emission textures for the lights (I have the front part of the chest finished). I also have to make some fixes for the seams to make sure light doesn’t leak out :o. This has been a great project for improving my skills related to creating realistic materials, and the work here should make for an easy transition when we move characters over to Maya/Redshift.
I hope to wrap this up as soon as possible so that I can get on with converting Neon’s squishy bits :0. Since our characters’ old body textures don’t have components for physically based rendering, Ubercharge and I have worked out a possible plan to convert newer/better Genesis 3 textures to their Victoria 4 body shape, so hopefully that works out. This will allow us to keep our texturing work when we convert the characters to the newer Genesis body type after v0.06. My goal is to have her (at least nearly) finished for the monthly update, which will probably be pushed back to the 3rd or 4th to give me some additional time.
Anyways, you can find a bunch of close-ups and progress images to show off some of the work I’ve done so far here! Let me know what you think!
