The general plot for Sihai's Legacy has been (mostly) put together for a good while now. From the events of this game to what happens after, I've got it all written down and inside my head. Well, give or take some details, anyway...

I can't pretend to have everything planned out from the get-go, naturally. Even with the most specific planning, I can't plan out every single little detail ahead of time or else it's too rigid. Heck, at that point I might as well just have written the game instead of the planning document! I'm a firm believer that figuring things out in the heat of things and having flexibility with the plot is good. But, while that's good, leaving things open can be a little... wacky.

I often listen to music while working. If you recognized the lyric I set as the title, congrats! I'm honestly pretty surprised, considering I don't think this specific lyric was in the original version of the vocal version of Gate of Steiner. Here's the link to the song I was specifically listening to. Even beyond direct meaning, the mood of what I'm listening to can absolutely effect my writing. If I'm listening to something sad, I feel my writing often has a sadder tone. If I'm listening to something goofy, the same thing happens (but with it being sillier, obviously). And sometimes some other ideas pop into my head that might turn so many things on their heads that you go "Hot dang!"

Or something not unlike this. I feel so powerful, honestly. I think the idea I'm going with is going to be really cool.

I can't really say exactly what conclusion I came to or what exactly I'm changing because of how much it would spoil. That said, boy howdy it's kind of amazing just how much room I have to work with while still fitting within my outline. It feels good! And I'm real excited to show everyone the things I have planned!

What I believe I can say right now is that... once I'm finally at just about the final update to this entire project, y'all better hold onto your butts. The last update or two is going to be a doozy.
