i can't stop laughing๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ Suga and J-hope's face though (15- sec no blinking challenge) LOL

that "korean alphabet game" is pretty simple haha the staff gives them two consonants of the hangul alphabet and they have to think of a word that starts with those two consonants, one in each syllable of the word. For example they gave hobi ใ…ˆ and ใ…, and he answered the word ์ •๋ง (means really, for real, a lot). So the first syllable starts with ใ…ˆ(์ •) and the second one starts with ใ…(๋ง). I hope it wasn't too confusing hahah

You must have missed it but Jimin was doing a personalised workout given to him by his trainer. He said he has a weaker body and as you know he has chronic injuries which mean those kind of workouts are best for him. As someone with chronic injuries like Jimin I can imagine the irreparable damage he would have caused working out in the same manner as everyone else.

Linh Nguyen

Yeah apparently like Jimin said, because his body is weaker and probably suffers from more chronic pain than the rest of the members, he has to do a different exercise routine in accordance to his trainers and probably other professionals. Those exercises looked like nothing but as a female, i also do exercises like that and they are very helpful for muscles despite how they look.

HELLO! I want to ask u if u will react to MAMAMOO REALITY SHOW or no?๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

Jimin could probably get away with murder.... he is too cute. I think the T-shirts were from an idea from an earlier episode were Jimin mentioned the details that should go on the T-shirt, but I thought it was for the losers to wear, I dont know why they are all wearing them.

Sonja

As you've seen in the docu-series, Jimin has chronic pain in his muscles (mainly around his neck and back). That's why he was doing isometric exercises for his chronic pain. Also I don't know if you missed it, but in the behind the scenes Jungkook read out aloud (when he was talking to the exercising Jimin) what it stated in the shirt + the pic in that shirt is a screenshot of Jimin and V from a vlive they did years ago. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Mivc

Actually Jimin does exercise haha. If you remember from the burn the stage, during tour the boys exercise together. And specially because of the heavy choreography they do, they need to have a good physical resistance and stamina. But at the time of this RUN episode Jimin was having problems with his neck again. So their trainer gave him a special physical exercise for him to do in order to help with his neck and shoulders, so the pain would get better.

AmyAin'tMyName

V's face and then the shot of Jin holding RJ in the corner is priceless. ๐Ÿ˜‚

That cracked me up! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

That's right. Jimin has a lot of chronic pain from always pushing himself so hard with his dancing. His exercises looked like they were stretching & strengthening physio-type exercise. They're designed to lengthen & also create opposing resistance at the same time ๐Ÿ˜Š

How cool they were so close to where you live! I'm on the west coast & hope they come to Vancouver one day. They could do a whirlwind of BTS adventures out here ๐Ÿ˜

I've seen parts of the Toronto episodes in some compilation mv's & really loved them ๐Ÿ’œ I'm so glad I decided to watch this today! I'll have to watch the first episode after Jimmy Fallon tonight (BTS week, day 2)! The room selection game was hilarious! The look of utter disappointment on Tae's face when Jimin closed the door๐Ÿšช & Jin was smiling that devilish little smile...OMG!...and then Kookie crawling out from under the bed ๐Ÿ›Œ?! Poor TaeTae! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜† For the rapline room, could Suga & RM have looked anymore resigned?! Hobi was like the happiest little puppy ๐Ÿถ to be sharing a room with the other 2 hyungs, but RM & Suga were sooooo done! ๐Ÿ˜„ DT - To answer your question - no, we don't have hyenas in Canada, except maybe at a zoo somewhere. We do have bears & cougars though. I don't know where the guys got the hyena thought from ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’œ

k !

while you were still watching the bring the soul series, i actually left a little comment about this, but to bring back a snippet of it, it said, โ€œjimin actually deals with a lot of pain. out of everyone, he seems to be one of the members with the most filmed footage of what seems to be chronic pain...thereโ€™s a clip during run bts episode 70 or so, where youโ€™ll see the members exercising, but jimin is doing his own exercises given to him by his trainer which he even said himself might look โ€œuncool,โ€ because it doesnโ€™t look as rigorous as the other members. he says itโ€™s because his body is weaker than theirs, but the exercises are really important to him.โ€ i donโ€™t think itโ€™s right to personally speak as if i know him, because i donโ€™t, but i do know he works really hard and gives 100% of what his body is capable of at any given point. heโ€™s very sweet about it and didnโ€™t bring up any of his pain when explaining why he does these exercises. he just leaves it at, โ€œmy body is weaker than theirs,โ€ and carries on happily doing his own thing right next to them even if he knows he might look silly to us. i think itโ€™s sweet and quite characteristic of him to go about it that way haha

BTS was playing a word game that is made up of korean alphabets given to them by the PD.

Jimin has a lot of flexibility, which he relies heavily on to showcase his beautiful dancing. The exercise routine he demonstrated in this episode is meant to build strength in his arms, core, and legs so that he relies less on his flexibility thereby preventing injury. The poses are quite common in yoga and pilates. As a yogi and teacher, I can attest that they are actually quite difficult to hold. And while not shown in this episode, I believe several of the BTS members also include this kind of conditioning into their exercise routine.

MintChoco

Jungkook is so inspiring when it comes to working out. He is so determined and persistent. I really admire him for that. It has served as motivation for me to work out regularly too.

Blau Beere

Oh yeah Jimin was definitely working out as others have explained. I prefer similar routines as he did and even though the movements are sometimes very small and not showy they can be very hard to hold. When you first do those kind of exercises you'll discover muscles you didn't even know you had, especially the next day when you can really feel it ;D I remember watching this episode for the first time and I was so confused as why they failed Namjoon when he answered Wien as Austria's capital and I was ready to argue until I remembered that yeah it's not that in English :P (in my native Finnish and in German and Swedish which I also speak it is Wien which threw me off...ah one of the downsides of knowing multiple languages, sometimes they all kinda blur together xD)

MoonRabbit

Yes! They really are harder than they look, so thanks for pointing that out ๐Ÿ˜‚ When I did aerial acrobatics these sort of conditioning stretches were often in the warmup alongside flashier calisthenics, and they can be a real challenge to hold for a long time!

MoonRabbit

As many of us can say from experience, Jimin's conditioning stretches are definitely much harder than they look! However I think the most important lesson here, which Jimin is a great role model of in what he said, is that exercise is about training yourself in the ways your body needs, not looking cool! A means to an ends, not the ends itself :) Looking cool might be an aim during performance, but it's not a concern during the training to get there. Like BTS never fails to quote, 'safety first'. Knowing your limits is very important, and though they have super qualified personal trainers to help them target their own needs, I love that they are happy to show themselves being sensible about it (even if it's only a behind the scenes). Unfortunately there are so many records and scenes where they do overwork themselves during performance, and the line is fine between it being part of their occupation and way too much, but it's like that with so many athletes. Recovery is doubly important for this line of work. So though I can't claim to know that much outside my own experience of recreational sports/acrobatics, I personally think Jimin's attitude in this particular clip of not overworking himself is setting a great example for anyone who exercises at any level.๐Ÿ˜Š

Those exercises were for Jimins chronic muscle pain and muscle seizes he gets. I've had to do those before for my shoulders. It's not easy and actually hurts when your muscles are in bad condition. He shouldn't being doing the intense exercises the rest of the members are doing that put all the weight on his muscles. It would cause his muscles to ache even more.

can i just say... RM WAS RIGHT Vienna is pronounced Wien in austrian german! LMAO the staff cant keep up with namjoons brain XD

I did it similar like jimin's exercise. It was because of my LBP (lower back pain) it looks really uncool but we've need to do it to recover.. so i kinda feel jimin.. in his case, it was his shoulder. Just don't forget jimin also exercise to get his 6pack early in bangtan ๐Ÿคฃ

Happy Birthday and many happy days in a new year of yours!

Penny D Young

What Jimin was doing is for his back and shoulder. Just like Pilates. Its great for your entire body.

Happy birthday! jaja have so much fun watching BTS with you...don't feel so alone :), Jimin exercises are actually the same ones that my trainer gave me, they are hard as F.. the ones where he is laying down, you have to do 5 sets of 30 with your arms first making I, then move to V, then T & W, your back has to be straight & shoulders can't touch the ground.. & of course your head must be straight.. try them.. they are insane.

It is not easy to explain about Korean alphabet game. It can be similar to acronym game, but it can be from one to two words combined depends on its rule. For example, ใ…Žใ„ฑ; ใ…Ž sounds like H, ใ„ฑsounds like G, then you make a word starts with the each alphabet , such as ํ•™๊ต (Hak Gyo), which means school. In English version, with the letter D and B, you can make a word, Door Bell or Dead Body.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DT!!! ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽŠ its also D-1 of JIMTOBER!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DT. You and your bias share the same birthday month. I enjoy so much watching the BTS videos with you; happy for the opportunity. They are up for a Billboard Award on October 14th. Lets hope they make it. Again, enjoy your birthday, Be safe and have fun. (82 years old ARMY Grandma ๐Ÿฅฐ) I๐Ÿ’œYOU

The t-shirts fulfill Jimin's wish from Ep. 53 (Behind the scenes #5): a "cool" photo with 'BTS' above, 'Park Jimin' below, 'I love you' on the left sleeve, 'I root for you' on the right sleeve, and a heart on the back with 'I'm ARMY' in the middle. I swear, their staff remembers EVERYTHING! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

I read or saw somewhere that Jimin has some long term injuries that require physio type stretches in his work outs. Maybe to warm up his muscles. It's why he doesn't really like taking part in athletic stuff anymore or rarely. Whatever works and keeps them healthy and fit is the main thing.

Jossyphyn

Just to let you know, RM is not a hyung to Hobi. Its the other way round. You can say that he was happy to share a room with his hyung and dongsaeng. ๐Ÿ‘

A little expansion on the letter game (for the 1st part anyway) is they are given 2 characters (alphabet letters) & have to form a syllable word using those letters. 1 letter must be used in the 1st syllable & the other must be used in the 2nd syllable. For example ใ…Ž(h) & ใ……(s) could make the word ํ•™์ƒ (student). The Korean characters (hangeul - ํ•œ๊ธ€) are like in english where they are letters that represent certain sounds. Unlike in Japanese or Chinese where the characters have meaning included as well as sound, so in terms of the writing system korean is much easier to learn :) (grammar on the other hand is a whole 'nother story...)
