Have you seen the new video that came out on the Bts YouTube channel today Bangtantv ? BTS Map of the Song : 7? It’s hilarious! I couldn’t stop laughing while watching! Your reactions are always great ! Keep going And stay healthy!

Anonymous

You should react to these older songs: This beginning song is called “Autumn Leaves”. Also checkout “Boyz with Fun”

Sonja

Great reaction! I do hope that you will react to every BTS Festa 2020 material from Bangtantv on Youtube - just as the sub unit interviews and for example the karaoke video from today - Jimin is so hyper this year. 😂💕 So pleeease, react to them!

ivy

Yes! Your observation about jimin is correct :) he used to be very manly and was badly pressured into keeping up his abs and good body, but these past few years he has softened up and also gotten a lot more comfortable with his feminine side.

Neb

Jin’s personality started changing from here, he went from a shy to the most confident, assertive and rebellious guy. His growth is honestly amazing!

Penny D Young

You should also react to their first anniversary meal cook by Jin.

Jimin once mentioned that in the beginning days he used to try his best to be more 'manly' and 'cool', but as he grew older and gained more confidence in himself, he stopped trying to fit himself into this overly masculine role he thought he needed to be in.

I think I the “residual” in the bathroom for Suga was a bath bomb, like a spa type bath soak for sore muscles. Not the other thing.... I want say that where a Jimin is from there an emphasis on masculinity? Like their dialect etc... I could be totally wrong.

TaeTae

This festa was super funny 😂💜but honestly, jokes aside this was in 2016 , jin and RM have improved so much in dancing since then , like improved a huge amount , just look up fancams of black swan for RM and ON fancams for jin. They are amazing!!! They worked so hard to reach where they r now and they should acknowledged💜 im proud of them , all the boys have weak points and no one is perfect and they all worked hard to fix them💜 like hobi taught RM how to dance and RM taught hobi how to rap and they are all hardworkers💜

JoY

I lost my other comment that i wrote 😆 Watch this bts episode It's right after the 1st (2014) festa party. It will make sense for the 2020 festa 1st BTS birthday party( JIN chef of bts) https://youtu.be/eymZZy5KHGQ

Penny D Young

It not really a scripts. It more like an outline for them to follow. The boys don't follow scripts or rules well....

Anonymous

you're spot on about jimin. he is more relaxed about being "manly," now he is just jimin. also, it's interesting to see their personalities change as time went on, for example, jin is more talkative and hyper now :))

Queensthief

Here is my suspicion. Just my opinion though. I think anytime you are a performer you feel pressure to be a certain way and fit a certain mold. I suspect that with Jimin he was macho and more aggressive because either that was the "character" he was assigned or that was the expectation. Since he does have the natural sexiness/sensuality--the aura the boys spoke of--I could see Big Hit trying to capitalize on that aspect. In that time, sexiness for a man was expressed as more macho, show off the body kind of sexiness. But actually, it is his soft elegance and adorable, cute nature in combination with his powerful confident side that make him so charismatic. It is a potent combination. And perhaps, even more because the mixture seems more sincerely him. And I would not be surprised if every member went through a similar identity process.

Taehyung was in a TV drama series Hwarang I definitely think you should watch it, but don't watch just because Tae is in it because he's not a main character so he's not in every episode and you might be disappointed if you watch it just for him which is sad because it's a great drama

You haven’t heard RM’s vocal abilities yet. Pls react to Fools covered by RM and JK, 4 O’clock by V and RM.

I think the earlier years of BTS, jimin was being forced to fit a stereotypically masculine image, that wasn't him, bc of BTS' concept at that time. "I think I wanted to appear like a strong man. Now I don't have to pretend, I can just be myself [...] (to his younger self) Hurry up and be me soon. You'll learn and realize so many things" — Jimin I just finished watching their latest documentary "break the silence" and i can say... jimin has changed a lot. He has become a lot more relaxed, wiser, super confident and funnier.

sugaisagenius

oh yes! For festa 2020 they will be recreating the 1st birthday party, so it would be nice to check it out

sugaisagenius

You explained it so well! People talk about a "feminine" side, but I don't think that's it. Jimin just has a very kind and adorable nature. I've heard he took it after his father, who is himself a very affectionate man. In the earlier days, all the boys had some sort of "concept" that the company assigned them, but now they are more like themselves.

JoY

Definitely true i think once you watch the burn stage doc , bring the soul , than break the silence doc series. You can see the change about jimin he's much more relaxed and confident .Not as tough on himself as before when he makes a mistake . I can see why suga said jimin has made him laugh the most also JK. Those two made me laugh alot in the videos they released .

JoY

This is so true .They have improved and i didn't think they were that bad before. If this whole virus thing didn't happen we would have seen them killed the dance moves during the concerts . They all practiced really hard . 💜

JoY

Now i know why in the bang bang con Jimin had so much energy during the videos .😄 They were filming this too. https://youtu.be/6vAf7mY_RiE

bea

in this festa u can already see their personalities starting to change a bit, jin changed tremendously, he’s soo much more talkative & funny, jungkook as well but jungkook kinda acts depending in what mood he’s in bc in 2017’s festa he was super quiet, probably tired

bea

by the way you should definitely react to “dead leaves/ autum leaves” (yeah it’s the same song but different names idk why) both lyrics & live, it’s such a good song

Carlethia Street

This was really funny. I enjoyed it a lot. In the beginning, Jimin was a little shy about showing his abs. The first time he did, the girls went wild and Big Hit saw it was a winner. He portrays his natural sexy self attributes in even how he walks. Those side glances, that under eyed stare, brushing back his hair, lip licking (the boy just got it) . He draws in the men as well as the women.

florilene

At the last part Jhope said he wants to win a Daesang/grand prize and they were kinda uncomfortable for a bit nobody wants to have eye contact but RM said yep they have to dream big 🥺. DT missed that part because he looked at the camera 😅. At the beginning too when they were joking about how their songs ranked # 1,going to the grammys, how they’re in every chart except the billboard one. I just want to go in there and tell them ‘don’t you worry you’re going to achieve all of that and more’. I can’t wait for next weeks reaction. Re-watching this old festa’s makes my army heart so proud of what they’ve achieve every year 💜💜💜

RM has actually good vocals, he just pretends to sing in a weird way because he isn't confident enough to show them. You can hear his vocals on a couple of songs, such as "Trivia: Love" (in the end, he's the one singing, if I'm not wrong), "4 o'clock" featuring Tae and "I know" featuring JK. He even covered Serendipity by Jimin and showed a glimpse of it to Army but never released the whole thing. RM really enjoys singing and he does have a great voice, he just needs to be a little bit more confident. I'm pretty sure that in the future, he'll release songs showing his vocals. He definitely sings a lot better than me. :)

Rosie

Can you react to Suga’s number one fanboy Kim Taehyung next on Youtube, please? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NXyud3ivIg

k !

so i haven't watched this post yet, but i heard you talk about jimin in your recent jungkook and namjoon video, so i'll just say that, yes, jimin did portray a very manly character at his debut. he really wanted to be one of the more attractive members and keep up a manly persona. it could've been unintentional, but this manly/muscley brand worked really well for him and i could understand any sort of pressure he might've felt having to uphold that to maintain his fans. however, his true personality appeared pretty often in some of their older content as well. over the years he's grown to realize that being his true self makes him the happiest and he doesn't have to pretend anymore. it's a much healthier mental state for him. there have been many instances within this year alone where he's mentioned the other boys telling him that he seems much brighter, and he genuinely seems much happier this way. another commenter already mentioned this, but about a year ago, the boys reacted to one of their 2014 concerts together, and during his solo interview after that reaction he gave a message to his younger self: "you were trying very hard. i was impressed and moved by you. i could feel how hard you were trying. i mean, your eyes looked eager to show something. i felt somewhat sorry for you too, i was shocked a bit. hurry up and be me soon," and here, he starts laughing as he's tearing up and says, "you will learn and realize so many things." it was a 30 second clip, but i think that in itself is one of the clearest indications of just how much he's grown.

yes!! most of the time RM is just joking around when signing but he is a good vocalist! not like the vocal line, but he has his own charms when singing seriously 🥺💜

JK

RM (as weill as Suga, and of course J-hope since he's a subvocalist) can sing. He is singing in his Mono mixtape, 4 O'clock (V and RM), Fools (Cover by Jungkook and RM), and I know (Jungkook and RM). You should listen to those songs. They are actually really good. Songs from Mono are really really good!

Tia Bee

Kkul FM (kkul means honey) is Suga's "radio show" that he's been doing every now and then since 2013, that's why these Festa episodes always start with him. This is his show, and he's the DJ. Or as they like to call him, Syub D. Suga has always said he does enjoy hosting and would like to try being a radio DJ. To this day, he'd sometimes pop up on VLive doing his usual Kkul FM show to talk to the fans, interview other members, and answer fan questions.

Anonymous

I think what you're thinking of is that the Busan satoori makes men sound more manly and so Busan men are considered manly and cool. But other than that I haven't heard that they would put an emphasis on being masculine

sugaisagenius

yes, he recently did weekly radio shows hosting each of the members as a gift for the fans during quarantine!

Anonymous

really happy when u said that !! thankyou dt for your hard work too ! we love it

PIDDI

This is the time of bon voyage S1

RM really really love singing and when he does it seriously it is absolutely beautiful, but he is self conscious about it. In the song he help V writing it Tae insisted that he sings a vocal verse and said lots of ARMY wants to hear your singing voice and he was right, Joon's vocal was so pretty. Please check that song it's called 4 o'clock, it is the first song Tae produced it and RM help him on it.

theGeekOutGirl

I think the script is more like a guide on what they're going to do or talk about in order in general :)

Anonymous

DT, please listen to Namjoon's mixtape Mono. There are videos for Forever Rain, Moonchild and Seoul on Big Hit Labels Youtube channel. I love his voice. It's so calming.

Actually Jimin forced this Macho man personality on himself, because that was the image BTS tried to have in their first 2 years. But after they stated to discover themselves as band and their sound evolved, Jimin started to became more confortable in being himself. Jimin said that when he was younger he tried hard to have a certain image but now he is comfortable truly being himself. Other members have said something similar as well like in 2018 festa they say present Jimin is the one that suits him best. So actually he just became who he has always been, but was trying to hide behind a manly man image.

Anonymous

I don’t think he “forced” himself to be macho but was trying to find a way to stand out as an individual. He was just 17 and barely made it into bts and fit a mold that it appears big hit capitalized one.

Anonymous

He states that yes he did force that on himself because considered himself only popular for his abs and the company pushed hip hop a lot. He comes from a macho area but did contemporary and never felt right putting on this exterior. He admitted being insecure and dieting and dressing in ways he didn't like. He cried at the very idea of accepting his present self. He wears clothes he wants too and accepts himself being lovely and ethereal and pretty and goofy and silly and dorky and elegant and a baddie because now he sees the beauty in not being some norm of what a man is allowed to be. Jimin is aspirational and beautiful
