The longest flight i've been on was 12hours long and it was actually to go to Seoul ♥ And I'm from in Paris ^^ I gotta say it was really long and I didn't get to sleep so i just watched movies or played the whole time lol

Coming-of-Age-Day is becoming an Adult. JK became an adult, so hyungs were celebrating for JK.

Actually this episode was the first time that the guys had to actually check themselves in for a flight. Up until this point, that was always taken care of by management. There will be a lot of firsts for them during these trips, which is one of the things I love about the Bon Voyage series. A camera crew goes with them on these trips, but their managers don't.

There is an episode 0 were they interview the members & then explained how Bon Voyage is going to work... u can watch it on ur own or add it to the next episode idk, it's just 8mins episode. & at Korea u're an adult once u turn 20 (Korean age) the Coming-of-age is that celebration. In South Korea, Monday of the third week of May is the “Coming-of-Age Day”. Everyone turning 20 years old at that year celebrates that day.

BV is where the boys get the experience life in general. Travelling, camping, eating out, losing belongings, meeting new people, and so much more! It is where the boys get to learn a lot of new things which is why I love BV so much.

They had trouble checking in bc staff usually does all that stuff for them getting their boarding passes and everything- they usually just get everything handed to them right before boarding when on tour

Your sub is somehow lost. Many conversation are not being translated. You should check them on vlive, and there is always behind the scene. Coming of age day means you become an adult legally. Usually will be given flower, fragrance and kiss by older. Jimin and jk actually had a dance performance about coming of age. You can search on stage performance and behind the scene on YouTube.

Coming of age day as some already explained is the day they celebrate adulthood.. And usually they are gifted with either perfume, flower or a kiss.. When rm n jin went to the supermarket they said perfume and flower bouquet is expensive, that's why they're discussing what game to play and the loser should kiss jk as coming of age gift 🤭🤭🤭

People kept telling you to start watching from S1 but actually I’m not sure about it, because I don’t know if you’re really interested and set to finish the seasons. Some reactors are genuinely excited and interested so watching all the seasons go by in a flash (Murisan etc, they finished 4 seasons in a few months). But there are other reactors that watch BV like a chore and take tons and tons of time and never get to the newest 2 seasons, which is a pity. If you’re the latter, then I’d rather suggest that you watch the newest seasons at the very least, because it’s probably the them that you’re familiar with now. As an ARMY we love all 4 seasons because it shows their growth, not only personality wise but also in their fame as well as experience with traveling throughout the years. That’s’ why everyone said you should start from S1. If you wish so too that’s great, but I’m just not so sure if you’d be the reactor that likes or dislikes it

Yoongi and Jin are the ones who cook for the other members, you won’t really see it much in Season 1 or 2 But it will really start to show in season 3 &4.

Happy to watch this with you! Remember that it was filmed in 2016, they weren't as famous and as experienced with travel as they are now. It was their first trip on their own as young men so they are bond to be a little clumsy lol.

I so agree with you. It is so frustrating when people are forcing the reactors to watch BV in order. As if they are breaking some weird rule by not watching them in order. It’s easier to connect with people if you start with something you are familiar with and most new reactors are familiar with the BTS they see now...not the BTS from 4 years ago. So much more impactful for them to start with a more recent season, 3 or 4 and become much more connected to the guys than start so far back and potentially lose interest. Same issues with the Runs if you ask me.

I think you will enjoy this I just think you are confused because nobody explained the premise of the show. Basically they get sent to a place and have to navigate things that they normally have done for them. This season they weren’t quite as popular so they were able to move around pretty freely but as they get bigger the staff has to changes things some but they still have to do many things on their own. Plus this one left some things out in the translations.

So glad you are watching Bon Voyage. Please watch them quickly because it will take forever to get through the series if we only see them once per week. So many reactors don’t have the patience to watch the early seasons of BV and then just abandon the series.

Love BV series...I think it would be great for. You to also start watching some of their more recent content. Their festa dinners and armypedia content are great one time episodes to watch. Also, some of their recent Bangtan Bombs would be great. Of course, it is always your final decision but it would be nice to see some current content went mixed in with the legacy content.

Are you doing behind the cam? I think kookie turned 18 in this season .. you will learn a lot about them through bon voyage . He does the laundry at home too for the boys. They all have little things they are good at.

Excited to rewatch this for the nth time but reading from the comments I’m a teeny tiny bit disappointed you did not watch episode 0 but that’s ok since you did not know. Also like what they’re suggesting if you can’t watch it on Vlive please watch it on qdeoks. It is very important that we watch with the right and complete subs because so much of the conversations gets lost on us. Army’s are really helpful and just like what I’ve seen with other reactors,army’s will provide you with the best links/videos you just have to ask 😊

as mentioned in a previous season, as you progress through the different seasons, you'd see how the boys' development (i.e learning to fend for themselves, etc). I think this is one of the reasons for the show - to have them develop skills that they wouldn't be able to as idols. and as the title suggests it's a voyage - from their old tiny dormitory to their current one in the latest season. just remember, they are supposed to be "normal" young men here - no managers, only allowance to pay for the necessities and no fan interactions (you'll find out about J-hope's no famous "important business" later ;) )

This trip is the first trip the boys have ever taken on their own. They've never checked-in on a flight or anything like that before. All of them were teenagers when Big Hit casted them and celebrities always have management book and check their flights. So they've never had the chance to do something that normal people their age know how to do. Bon Voyage gives the boys the chance to have a normal vacation doing things people their age can do. That's why the film crew doesn't help them in the series and allows them to figure things out on their own. :) Also For each Episode theres a Behind footage for that episode. So youll be missing out on a lot of funny and interesting bits if you skip them. :)

In Korea, you officially become an adult when you turn 20! It was his 20th birthday (in Korean age... yeah we count age differently... LOL it's confusing). So sweet that the members always take care of each others' birthdays no matter where they are :')

Bon Voyage is about BTS going on vacation by themselves without the help of their staff and limited money.

You'll get a glimpse of their new house in the first episode of BV Season 4 :) The latest season is my favorite, not too hectic and they are simply enjoying a vacation.

I would def hav you watch bv season 3 and 4 rather than season 1. The first season is 4 years old so the bts you see there is def not the same as they are today. And like was said before me, some reactors do find bv a chore so they drop it instantly...watching newer seasons would be better.

Many comment talking about maybe you will be more interest to BV if you start at season 4. The recent one. But some comment not agree and want you start from beginning Season 1. My suggestion after you finish watch S 1, please watch S 4 (the recent one) so you will be see the difference . For me I love how you start from beginning.

As to why no one wants to room with RM: at the time this was filmed, he had a deviated septum, and snored really badly. Not so long ago, he had surgery to have it corrected.

The longest flight I've been on is 30 hours. 18hours first leg, 2 hours connection & fuel stop, and 10 hours for the final leg. I almost lost my mind.

coming-of-age-day for Koreans are celebrated on the 3rd Monday of May of the year they turn 20. (actually 19 years old since Koreans adds 1 year to your age because they consider the 9 months they’re in the womb so once they are born they’re already 1 year old). JK will turn 20 that time (2016) or again 19 (international age) and is now considered as an adult who can drink alcohol, vote, drive, and marry.
