It would be really cool if after you finish the burn the stage series you moved to their most recent series that was released last year it’s called bring the soul and it’s really cool to see how they’ve grown since 2017 and onto their most recent tour! Here they have all of the episodes in hd: https://sung-jaelly-fish.tumblr.com/bring-the-soul-docu-series

MintChoco

I would also like you to react to Bring the Soul after this.

Suga said in a video last year that their goal was like to go up to the 15th floor, but now they have reached floor 40 and it's really scary. so no, they have not imagined that they would be this successful. It's so scary that at some point in late 2017/early 2018 they discussed disbanding because the pressure was too much... (it was at least one of the reasons) Fortunately they have managed to go past that and now they have accepted their shadows: the good and the bad that come with fame, and the map of the soul albums series talks a lot about that and the internal journey that helped them. The lyrics of ON and EGO are the conclusion of that journey. Also they always said that they know that fame can go away in an instant but they will be happy as long as they can keep doing music, again they are ambitious but very self aware, and aware of the society we live in. FYI, after this series you might be interested in "Bring the Soul: Docu-series" (6 episodes) that retrace the following tour 2018 Love Yourself in the same way. You can see their growth from this first series.

please DT when Burn the stage ends, please watch Bon Voyage! there are 4 seasons, and all of them are amazing. and you’ll see that later episodes of Run BTS even references Bon Voyage at some point. Please check it out, you’ll get to see how much of a mess the boys are trying to travel and live in the real world by themselves and stuff!

Gaica

Yes they do go back and watch these shows and even have reactions to them. I would love to see you watch bring the soul next.

lumine

I think he talked about replacing this slot with bon voyage or rookie king (plz NOT rookie king TT, bon voyage is a big yes but the episodes are way longer so idk maybe separating each episode in two parts?)

lumine

12:25 they definitely didn't anticipate their success, Namjoon (RM) said that their biggest goal was to perform in front of 10 000 people before debuting, then shortly after debuting (if I remember right) yoongi (SUGA) said he jokingly dreamed of performing in Gocheok dome PS : as a 2014 army, I get shocked at least once a month about things that are now trivial like seeing their album at my local store. And an actual conversation that happened with my mom last year mum "they'll perform at stade de france next time!" me:"idk.. 80k is too much I think they can fill like 40k in france" two weeks later bts announced two shows in stade de france that sold out

I can't wait for you to check out the Bon Voyage series. While Burn The Stage shows the BTS after their shows, Bon Voyage shows them as typical 20-something boys traveling (they can't rely on their name/fame, staff, and own funds). As you go through the different season, you see their progressions: from their living arrangement in the different dorms throughout the years (albeit a glimpse); their way of fending for themselves; working together; understanding (and accepting) each other's differences; and even mundane things like budgeting and planning for their meals smartly and packing.

Yes, there are several video of BTS looking back and talking about what they would say to their younger selves. they have stated that It's is very hard for them to watch, but they do it to continue to learn and grow.

I'm here to remind you there's a movie for burn the stage, which is also on youtube red and the scenes are different from the series which you are currently watching, hopefully you'll react to it after ep8. After that, I recommend you to watch either bring the soul or bon voyage!

Anonymous

i hope you react to bon voyage once this series is over!

YES! When the Burn The Stage Docu series is over, please react to Burn The Stage Movie. The shooting time of the documentary series is similar, but the perspective is different) And then there's the next series, "Bring The Soul Documentary," and there's the "Bring The Soul Movie.” I can’t wait your reaction!

Anonymous

Please react to all the Wings solo songs. You heard some of them in this episode. RM-Reflection Jin-Awake Suga-First Love Jhope-Mama Jimin-Lie V-Stigma Jungkook-Begin

Tanya perez

That song V was singing was his solo STIGMA I suggested for a reaction. You need to check out the lyrics then the live version. You will love it!

KIKI

Please react to the series bring the Seoul...It’s similar to burn the stage but it’s there tour in 2018 or 2019 I think

Yes, I go to Japan for concerts all the time. The Japanese want to actually "hear" the artists sing. So they're respectful and wait to make noise at the end of the songs. It's just a cultural thing and at times it's nice not to have someone constantly screaming in your ears. lol

Anonymous

Yes please do Bring the soul Movie and documentary series.

Abby Griffin

I'm Yoongi was about 17 or 18 in that old vid of him. It was the audition that got him into BigHit

Jin is actually an introverted and a very shy person which is really apparent in their older videos. He has overtime really come out of his shell and have become this super confident and chaotic person that we know now. His personality has changed the most because he has worked really hard towards building his confidence, his story is truly inspirational. You still don’t even know 10% about Jin or how amazing he is but I hope you try to find out more about him.

heavenlyonesbts

I hope you watch Burn the Stage movie and then start the Bring the Soul (notice they're both BTS, lol) docuseries and movie :)

Janshi

It is like that in Japan. They don"t want to be rude by ïnterrupting"a performances so they wait till designated times (the end) to cheer and clap and make noise. Not every Japanese person is like this, I live in Osaka and it's plenty raucous on the daily but it is definitely an aspect of Japanese culture and I can totally see it being a challenge for the boys to get them up out of their seat if that isn"t an established norm for their concert. I'm actually worried about going to my first concert here because, Imma be wildin' but I worry everyone around me will just be enjoying it the Japanese way. On the plus side, the boys tend to get much closer to the Japanese audience because they know they will respect their boundaries.

bts bring the soul series NEXT PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Janshi

Also I second the Bring the Soul comments.

Jaeyi

BTS said when they first debuted, their end goal of their career was to perform at a concert hall with maybe ten thousand people. Even that alone seemed like an impossible dream to them. So that answers your question, they never once thought they'd be so big. They never even thought they'd be able to win a single trophy on the korean small weekly music shows. Their situation was that bad

BtsOT79798

Honestly to sum it up as to why they get so much love and support is because they are them in their truest forms... they don’t hide themselves

Anonymous

Yes, according to ARMY's who tried attending BTS concerts in Japan is that they are very respectful and organized. You can barely see them carry a phone to take pictures/videos of BTS performances. They just focus on watching and enjoying the concert from start to end.

Jaeyi

Please watch Bring The Soul after you finish this! It's the 2nd season, concert documentary for "Love Yourself Tour" that happened in 2018!

Janshi

Other quality content you might enjoy is their Festa chats. Every year during BTS's anniversary they sit down and talk candidly about the past year and their goals. It's their humour from Run BTS based on prompts mixed with the openness of Burn the Stage and Bring the Soul. You can find them on Youtube if you search BTS Festa 2014. The official ones are from BANGTAN TV but I find the Bangtan Subs version better because they include definition and descriptions of references you might not otherwise get. The first few years are in the format of a radio program but they branch out to dinner and drinks in 2018 I think. And just a round table chat with food in 2019. Hope you and fellow ARMY get around to checking them out eventually. Also sidenote: Joon usually does an album review on VLive and talks about the process of making the album pretty in depth. So now that the album is out, he'll sit down to talk about 7 sometime within the next few weeks and you might be interested in that too.

I also second that you should watch the movie and then bring the soul

I’m Japanese and I think Japanese people are very self conscious and being polite/following rules is a huge part of our culture. On public transport in Japan its pretty much silent, no one talks and talking on your phone is not allowed. At concerts people scream and cry and sing along but compared to other countries its a little more subdued and people don’t really dance. Internally everybody’s probably screaming and dancing lol Other people might be like wtf I would be going crazy if I was at a concert!? but I think because of this Japan is probably the only country to have ‘handshake events’ (like in this video) where fans can actually greet the members because Japanese fans can follow rules and not make a huge scene :)

I have been in japan! And i am so amazed by their discipline was a great experience! And btw, keep safe there!💜

Thank you for the reaction DT! Loved it! After the serie's over, I would love to see you react to the movie and then move on to the next serie called Bring the Soul.

yes of course they go back and look at old videos.. there are few out there on youtube about their reaction to their videos.. very touching and funny.. u asked why we love them.. personally for me, I founded them over 3 years ago from watching Hwarang warriors Taehyungie was in it and i immediately was drawn to his adorable personality so I went to check what other drama he is in and low and behold I found BTS.. the very first song I listened to was Stigma, totally fell in love with his voice then next was Blood Sweat and tears MV .. fell down the Bangtan rabbit hole and never look back... been listening to their songs every day since.. never love a group or person like i love BTS.. their musics, their personalities, every thing about this group I love so I support them and help them reach their dreams by joining Tweeter, Instagrams, tik tok ... love and respect them more every day... I'm 54 and very proud to be part of army...

I've always noticed how different cultures are like at concerts, clubs etc. Japan and korea are very reserved like they literally won't even move a muscle lol whereas if they were to go to South africa for example people would be twerking up and down the barricades haha. i noticed this when i moved toEngland from Zimbabwe, overtime i went clubbing with my british friends they were very mellow whereas when i went to zimbabwe for my 21st 2 yrs ago, the scene was completely different, no-one gives a damn about what they look like, everyone is there for a good time, my body moved in ways i never thought it could move lol stuff i couldn't do here in England. thats why i hate watching live performances when they are in Asia, such a dead crowd, no offence lol

Anonymous

yeah. I agree Korea is more reserved than like South America or some other countries but can't compare with Japan. Maroon 5, Eminem, U2 and many pop and hip-hop artists were shocked how passionate and participating Korean audiences were and literally compared with other countries. You can even search and check their remarks in some of their interviews on Youtube.

I myself started to follow BTS not long after they started. I saw a clip of Jimin and Jungkook doing a blog and thought I’d check them out. Then I heard Taemin from Shinee talking about Jimin and how hard he worked. That was it for me, their music has helped me get some very ruff times. I also found that they were different from other groups because they had a big say in what they put out there. Even Super Junior from SM entertainment after 15 years don’t get much say in what they put out there. Thank you for your reactions 💜🥰💜 stay safe 🤗

Anonymous

Hello🤗I’m new here and I grew up in Japan. Yes, Japanese audience is more “quiet” compared to other countries. 😂 it’s a cultural thing I guess. Love your reactions! Thank you for doing reaction videos! 💜

Anonymous

Japanese fans are polite, that's not an understatement. FYI Hobi and Jimin are fluent in Japanese and converse very easily with their Japanese audience, both on talk shows and onstage.

You probably realize already that BTS renegotiated their contract with BigHit for another 7 years and with BigHit's recent IPO, the members have a financial stake in the company. The "now now now" attitude and their measuring their success in two-three-four years is largely due to the time clock of the older members having to serve their military service. Jin will turn 28 this December; Suga next year in March and when they leave, the next time block starts for Hobi and RM. It's always in the background but never discussed. I know you follow other KPop groups - when Chen enlisted, it was a BIG deal. Not sure if you know his backstory, but basically he fell in love, got married and had a baby (gasp! he has a life outside of EXO). Some "fans" tried to get him blackballed out of the group. A couple of weeks ago, he did a comeback MV "Hello", and then he did an early enlistment just last week. It's a beautiful song and an even more beautiful MV. Now, I know ARMY has always said they would support the private lives of the members, knowing after all they are human and men. BTS themselves have discussed wanting to be fathers, meeting up in the future with their children, so nothing new there. Just more big picture considerations.
