Mid-July Progress Report (Patreon)

Greetings, everyone! I hope you've had a great month so far :)

BULLETIN!! In case you weren't aware, I have pushed back early access and the next update by 1 month. So stay tuned for August 15 for early access, and September 1st for the full update. Sorry for the delay, it's been a super busy time for me lately, and I want to make sure the update is worth it!

Now here's a breakdown of what I've been up to thus far in July:

CENTRAL & PRIME MINISTER STEPH'S ADVENTURES. The poll this month was super close!! I initially started working a bunch on Steph's adventures, thinking she had won.. and then Central jumped ahead, so I swapped focus to hers.. And eventually just figured, why not work on both! I've had fun putting together some sleuthing scenes for Kiera as she uncovers more about the daycare.. and runs into some embarrassing situations along the way! (Highchair and lap shenanigans, wheeee~)

DETECTIVE MODE. I don't think I'll have time to put this together in time for the update, but a related idea I've started to develop is to have Kiera go into DETECTIVE Mode when she's hunting down clues around the daycare (kinda like the very unfinished Pretend skill). I can think of ways for both a Distracted *AND* a Focused detective to forget about her need to go potty if she gets really invested in her sleuthing.. so hopefully Kiera's still paying attention to the hints happening in her pants, too! :P

UNAWARE ACCIDENTS. There's a lot of dialogue/animations to put together for this type of accident! Some new animations have been finished, in which Kiera has no clue that she just tinkled or dookied herself, though it would be quite obvious to anyone around. Buuuut there's no way Kiera would become Little enough to *actually* have an accident like that!! ...Right? ;)

ACCIDENT RANDOMIZATION. In the next update, Kiera's potty needs will no longer always go "pee" -> "pee" -> "poop." Rather, she'll have a randomized chance to go #1 or #2. I haven't totally settled on the ratio yet.. should I stick with 1/3 chance to poop? Let me know if you have an opinion about that, interested in your feedback!

NOPANTS ACCIDENTS. I've worked more on animations for Kiera's accidents when wearing her t-shirt & diaper! Since you can see her diaper with this outfit, you'll be able to watching her go through 2 visual stages of wetness (damp/wet vs. soaked), each of which also needs to pair with 2 visual stages of messiness. So yeah, lots of sprites to make there!
