End of May Progress Update (Patreon)

Hey, you! It's good to see you again! Thank you so much for your support- it truly means a lot that you guys are digging the project. We have reached a level of support that I wasn't expecting, so it's really cool to see. So yeah.. THANK YOU!! Also, holy smokes, we're into June... That means we're once again halfway to our next update for BBMKR! I am feeling excited about the progress being made, and think we'll end up with some fun stuff to play with come August. :D

In the past two weeks, I've spent quite a bit of my dev time putting together the debug version, but I did get some other stuff done too! Check out the attachments to see some of what's been going on.. A couple new maps, a bunch of spriting and coding for potty interactions... and finally implementing dialogue with NPCs who have just been standing around forever, letting Kiera walk all over them!

First off, the new maps include um... just a sandbox with nobody in it yet.. AND (this is much more exciting) a little classic RPG area, where Kiera can join forces with a wizard and bard to form an unstoppable party of fearless travelers! The three amigos can take on foes ranging from silly slimes to fearsome dragons, and get that sweet EXP along the way! I have plans to add stuff like item rewards and a simple battle system to this side-quest, but it will be super basic to start with. Just some silly fun, based on being a brave knight with potty problems!

Okay, spoiler alert... The three girls who've been standing menacingly (and ethereally) in the upper reaches of the daycare for the past few months are none other than the Royal Princesses of the Girls' Club- fierce rivals of the smelly, cootie-ridden Boys' Club (whom you'll also meet later in the story). As the two groups wrest for dominion over the daycare, you'll be able to work with one or the other... or as a double agent for both at the same time!! (...But you wouldn't dare betray the girls for stinky BOYS, would you?!) The plots of the two clubs and the playpen Littles will intertwine as you discover more about the daycare.. and perhaps you'll find a way to unite them against their common foe- the Amazons! It's been fun to continue with building the plot of the game, and I'm excited to share the stories of these characters with you!

As for the last picture.. Erm, Kiera seems to be having trouble with the tapes on that diaper, doesn't she? ..The Amazons wouldn't really put Kiera in Little-proof diapers.. would they? Oh dear! ...SO yeah, I've been continuing work with the potty system... Specifically with Kiera trying to use the potty while in diapers (good luck with that without help!), and coding in the chance to have potty training fails (where she doesn't notice she has to go when she'd normally get a warning). So there will be a lot more shenanigans to be had with the potty and related events!

Anyway, I think that's it for now! I'll put together a poll or two for this month to get a sense of where you guys would like the focus to be for the update.
