Hey all! I wanted to show you where I'm at with the skills system, and open the floor to suggestions. Check out the attached videos for a li'l walkthrough! ^^

The idea is that you unlock Skills based on what Traits you have picked, and you get a point towards Skills every 2 levels (18, 16, 14, etc.). Each trait unlocks 3 unique skills that you can pick from, and there are 3 "global" skills that you'll have access to no matter your trait choices are. So in total, there will be 33 unique skills to pick from! Obviously, it will take some time to get them all implemented, but I'll have a a few ready for you guys to check out in the update.

Once you've unlocked a skill, you can use it at any time, and it will activate some little scene with Kiera. She may refuse to do the skill if she deems it too childish.. or she might do it begrudgingly.. or she might just do it without realizing you even activated the skill! She will make a roll against her one of her stats (maturity/independence/potty training) to see if she'll do it (lower stat = higher chance of doing it). There's still a chance that she'll do something babyish at a high maturity, or refuse at a low maturity- it's just unlikely!

Some examples of skills are: Thumbsuck (global), Blow Raspberry (Bratty), Lookie! (Distracted), Pottypants (ABDL). You can probably guess what most of those skills do :P

Some of them are just short interactions, where she does the thing and moves on (like blowing a raspberry), while others will be active effects that carry on/change her sprite (like sucking her thumb).

Now, since there are going to be a lot of skills, I thought this could be a good opportunity to open the floor to suggestions from you guys! You can see in the video that most of the skills are still question marks.. I'd love to put in some options that you guys would like to see!

Just let me know the name of the skill you'd like to see, and the trait it's for! You can describe what you envision the skill doing, or leave that up to me :)

As a reminder, the traits are FRIENDLY, BRATTY, BRAVE, SCAREDY-CAT, CONFIDENT, CRY-BABY, FOCUSED, DISTRACTED, ABDL, and BIG GIRL (changed from "vanilla"). If you have multiple suggestions, go for it! Looking forward to seeing any ideas you might have, talk to you again soon!

I can think of a couple ideas not sure how the first one would be able to be implemented but the idea is "up"(ask a big in your party to carry you) and it would be for the ABDL And "tantrum" for bratty which I'm pretty sure is self explanatory.

Great ideas! Tantrum would be an excellent fit for the bratty tree (or a bratty/crybaby combo). I am super intrigued with the idea of Up... It would be very cute, but as you say might be tough to implement if we actually want her to get carried around (lots of sprite work)! I'll try to brainstorm how to make that one work ^^ thanks!

you're welcome, glad you like the ideas I kinda figured the carry idea would be difficult just thought it sounded like a good fit with most of the npcs being at least twice her size. though another one came to mind out of the blue here what about a crawling skill?

Maybe a passive called "oooh, shiny" that may make you attracted to tv's, or random coins on the floor.

Crawling would be another good one! Maybe there can be some quests where crawling helps you stay under the sightline of an Amazon!

Oooh, that'd be a good one for distracted! It'd be fun to have some random events like that, that could pop up and distract her when she needs to go potty!

Speaking of passive that would be distracting you could have one that does the opposite where she becomes intensely focused on one thing that she's doing and doesn't notice that she needs to go.

For sure! I’ve been wondering what to do for focused, and that would be a good place to start!

I was thinking that Big Girl could be perhaps like a fake out trait. Where instead of gaining maturity she just finds an excuse as to why she pottied herself? Or perhaps even convinces herself that that's what big girls do? Another idea would be to mediate between other littles? Or even check their diapers!

Good thinking! I really like the idea of the "mature" traits being able to backfire ^^ So maybe the goal for Big Girl will be that she insists that she's too big and mature for diapers.. even if she keeps proving that she's not! I love the idea of checking other littles' diapers- that could be super cute, especially depending on the state of her own diaper! Maybe she can waddle around, pretending to be everybody's "Mommy" ...as she ignores her own need to go potty :D

Hmm, What about the idea of 'hold it' skill for big girl trait that buy her a few more seconds to reach the potty [or finish other activties] with a downside of speeding up the future needs and losing some continence points. And if she use it way too many times.... it may no longer works and result in instant accident? Or a little backed up if it's number 2?

Great idea, a 'hold it' skill would be perfect for the Big Girl route! There will definitely be consequences for using it too much ;P
