Happy Friday everyone! It's obviously been awhile since this is the first upload after the hiatus. I hope you like it. Also sorry I know this is late haha, meant to have this posted an hour ago but YouTube took it's sweet time processing it. 

I've been teasing this one for almost a year now because it's been a year in the making. The reason being, I haven't really known how to approach it... And even now that it's done, I have no clue if it'll make sense, much less connect with you all. But I definitely gave it my all and in some ways, it might be one of the best videos I've done. It was certainly one of the hardest to make lmao. 

Script, editing, voiceover, everything on this was very taxing. But I think it was worth it. I hope it was worth it.

I turn 30 in a couple months. And lately I spend a lot of time gazing at the stars marveling at our universe, our world, our species, and my tiny life. What comes next? While watching this, I was thinking of Greek mind-body dualism and Camus absurdism. I've played a little bit of Soma, but now I'll be picking it back up to finish it. One game experience I thought of was Journey. I had a feeling when I played it the second time that I was not the same person as I was going into it the first time. Both as a character and a player. Revelations about the game world, and my life perspective in the physical world, had shifted because of the ending and other life experiences which deepened my mindfulness and appreciation of the game. If my consciousness was transferred, and I recognized that I was a copy, would I care about the world and my relationships differently? Would I pursue freedom with reckless abandon since immortality was only a click away? Or would I retreat inward because my previous selves and their decisions didn't matter anymore to the new me? The manga intro was cut really well and I loved the rest of the transition edits. The subtle page turning looked great! For such a long video, I appreciate your clear talent and effort.
