Weekly Journal (February 21st) (Patreon)

What's crackalakin. This was supposed to be upload week, but as it turns out... this video was not ready. I had a lot of great ideas on paper, but they just didn't mesh. I kind of had two video competing against one another and it just didn't come together. So after recording and editing the voiceover (I guess those hours are just gone now lmao) I paused everything and rewrote the second half of the script. I also polished up and refined the first half. I was... dreading making this video based on the previous script. It just felt like I swung really hard for the fences and struck out. 

But with the re-writes? With the changes? The energy is back, this one might be special. I recorded and edited the new voiceover in one day, started editing today, and I'm ecstatic about what this will be now. Oh and you know what else? The new script was under 30 minutes! I actually hit my biggest goal haha. I think my biggest issue as a writer might be that I write a lot of redundant statements under the illusion that I'm driving a point home. So yeah, one thing I did was a cut a lot of unnecessary duplicate statements. Like the one you just read lol, you can infer what I cut. 

Unfortunately this does put me behind schedule, so this won't drop until March 4th now... which is a phat bummer. BUT, as my boy Miyamoto once said, and I have quoted above, take your damn time, which I plan to do. 

In the meantime, please enjoy this very out of context screenshot from the video. Believe it or not, I'm making kind of a really important point with this bit haha. Feel free to speculate lmao.
