Yo! Thanks so much for all of the support on the new episode, I'm super pumped with the reception and now that I have rested up, I guess it's actually a pretty good video haha.

Tons of bloopers on the voiceover from it, so have fun with that! Not as much technical stuff because honestly making the video is kind of all a blur due to how fast I threw it together.

I read a manga this weekend... it is called "Goodbye Eri." Now, it's written by the same dude who wrote chainsaw man; Tatsuki Fujimoto. I expected it to be good. I like his work. But what I didn't expect was for it to completely captivate me and do something that Soma actually did to me when I played it a month or so ago.

It's 200 pages and it reads in like an hour, so go read it yourself when you get some time. I won't spoil what happens but just know that... yes there is an anime psych of play in the works but separately from that, I was struck with an inspiration for a video while reading this. And I feel it's worth noting, it's the most inspired to make a video I've felt in a long time. I don't know when this episode will go up or how long I'll sit on it, but I am wildly excited to make it happen. It will be dark. It will make you think. It will make you uncomfortable.

On a brighter note! I have quite a few video ideas right now actually, most of which you probably don't know about. Next Monday I'll get a poll going for you all so that we can vote one what I'll be making next. Things are about to get interesting.

Also tomorrow I'll be doing a new live commentary on an older vid around 11AM cst. I hope you can join and I look forward to seeing you then!

Only positive self talk today guys, give yourself a compliment and let it sink in for a second. What is something you're truly proud of, something you genuinely like about yourself? It's easy to make jokes about your shortcomings and cope with humor, but be real for a second. What do you like about you? Think about it.

Cheers everyone!

These blooper reels are just getting better and better. I particularly enjoyed the saga of the plane getting a bit further along each time it came back up. Also, your dog is adorable. :) I just read "Goodbye Eri", and oh, gods, is that a powerful story. The art is beautiful as well. I used to read so much manga and I very rarely do any longer, so perhaps that was part of the reason for my strong reaction to the art style, but it also felt so appropriate, by turns photorealistic and faded, detailed and outlined... But yes, I can certainly see how it may have inspired you in any number of different directions, I'm overjoyed to hear that it did, and I can't wait to see what you come up with based on it. I once read a book called "What to Say When You Talk to Your Self" which is about practicing positive self-talk- it's definitely a work in progress, but I agree that it's very important, especially if negative self-talk and/or perfectionism have become a habit. It's also just as important, I find, that the self-talk is sincere and true. It can't be overly vague like, "You're a good person", and nor can it be something that's not true, like, "You're a wonderful cook," if you struggle to get instant ramen together. But it can certainly be any of those things that you know intellectually is good about yourself, but you immediately dismiss as "unimportant" or "too small". If we can work ourselves into a complete state of misery for a week over a minor mistake, we can definitely give ourselves a few minutes' worth of pride for getting all the laundry out of the dryer and hung up in less than two days. :) Also, isn't "Shiny punting" a perfect label for what you described doing with that shiny Ledyba? :P

Valid point about the ledyba 😂 so glad you liked Goodbye Eri! Fuhimoto’s art style is one of kind. I haven’t found any artists that portray that almost fever dreamy beauty like he can. I’m still thinking about that damn story. I’ve gotta give that book a read. Positive self talk is something I’ve gotten a lot better at over the years and I know so many people struggle with it. Gotta keep the conversation going ya know? We don’t often advertise those thoughts but they still hit hard.
