I feel like this song touches on mental health and some PTSD as effects of growing up in a negative environment experiencing a lot of trauma

100% I didn't grow up in that environment but did as a firefighter and paramedic and having to deal with the families of the murder victims and sexual assaults is very depressing....

This is actually one of the first rap songs to touch on mental health and is pretty much the anthem for it in Hip Hop. ScarFace had spent time in jail before rapping and had went to psych ward for attempted suicide which makes this song even more interesting.
