I never could figure out the arrangements, either. I mean, they have two different businesses on two different continents. How do they reconcile that? I suppose her design business could more easily be moved to another place than his vineyard could.

I grew up watching the Hayley Mills version from the 60s and they lived in Boston and horse country in the US respectively so it was a bit easier to reconcile. Both very entertaining renditions of this story. One of the original film inspirations was an old and very long film called Three Smart Girls. I think both versions of The Parent Trap condensed that original story quite nicely. It was extremely long and had several ... I wanna say opera numbers?

This is absolutely one of my favorite movies. You should watch It Takes Two as well. It's from the same time as this and very similar, but yet plenty different and just as good in it's own ways. You would love it
