The Disney movies that were from the Little Mermaid to Tarzan are considered the Disney Renaissance. They are older, but I consider the Classics to be from before 1980s. When you see them, you'll probably see why there is a difference.

It's good to keep in mind that the "Beast" was only like 11 when he turned down the enchantress in the beginning. They make him seem like he was the same age as all the princes at that time. Also, I don't think he had 25 years to break the spell. They said by his 21st birthday.
