The first season is a bit cheesy, but the show really starts to get good. One tip though... Was a bit hard to tell, but I suspect you are watching the remastered version. This is notoriously badly done. Joss Whedon HATES it. The Aspect ratio is awful and you can at times see the stage crew that you wouldn't at 4:3. The lighting is horrific destroying the atmosphere at times. And peoples complexions can look very 'off' at times. If you can source a copy of the Original format, I'd strongly suggest it. There are whole videos on Youtube talking about the Buffy Remaster as being a textbook case in how NOT to do one...lol

I was one of those who recommended you watch this, so I'm so, so happy you are! :D I already loved your reactions before this, and it's nice to see you didn't disappoint me with these. Hee, i love how easily jump-scared you are. This gone be fun. Were you planning to do these with Jane eventually? Or is she doing them on her own? If she is, I'll watch hers too if you can give me a link to her channel. In this reaction or the previous, you asked what three score years means. A "score" is twenty years. As others have mentioned, yes, there is a movie, but isn't necessary to watch it. If you wait it out, all the information you need is provided in the show. The movie is insanely cheesy and laughably bad. This first season especially, is a reflection of what the movie should have been, and what the director envisioned for it. As others have also mentioned, yes, season one is rough. I believe I mentioned that when I recommended it. The show is cheesy. Embrace the cheese, because it is worth it. A few pieces of advice. One, there is a spinoff,, Angel. Don't watch it until season 4 of Buffy starts. Angel's run started when season 4 of Buffy began. Watching it now would spoil way too much. Two, don't look up anything. I mean nothing, because you will spoil yourself. If you have questions, ask them here. Someone will answer them if it can be done without spoiling. Oh, and, for whatever reason, the Buffy fandom is the worst for spoilers. Get a mod to watch for spoilers, because it happens. Don't even look up Angel. Stay away until season 4 of this. For when the time comes, there is a guide for how to watch the two shows in sync once you have to. The Slayalive Guide. Don't even touch that now, because even the titles of the episodes in the guild can serve as spoilers. And three, enjoy this, my friend. You're in for one hell of a ride.
