We're on to the second episode of the Prisoner on the We are All Pawns podcast, and oh boy, do I LOVE THIS NEW #2. This serious is seriously one of my favorite things. Number 6 takes on abstract art while also having to deal with Number 2 messing with his mind as a new arrival... well... arrives in the village! Be seeing you ;)

The best thing about this show is just just doesn't have any easy answers. You think you know the story but there's always another story beneath the one you're watching. And the only person who had an the answers didn't tell anyone what they were. Btw the only production trouble the show had was MxGoodan wanted the show to run only one season, the network wanted l more he got full control over the show and give them a two season show. Because he always knew how the story would end and two seasons were ss long as he could make it last. No. Two Leo McKern was a very well known actor of his time.

Goodness, if I had known there was going to be such excitement via other avenues over episode order, I would have been too embarrassed to mention it here. I should mention I think it is really cool that episodes can be placed in different viewing orders for different effects rather than "NO! The episodes MUST be watched in THIS ORDER!" Also, it is a show from the late 60s when shows were still designed with inconstant viewing in mind. Episodes had to be designed to work as independently as possible. The producers never knew if any given episode was going to be someone's first. They never knew the broadcast order any given station was going to use. They also knew that most episodes would only be available when they aired, so if people missed an episode for any reason, it was gone. Episodes had to function as independent units. They had to make sense in any order outside perhaps of finales where they were prepared to risk a little more connective tissue. So, watch in any order. The show still works. It's still fun, and the very first episode I ever saw at a young and impressionable age was the last episode, so I knew from the jump how things went down in the end. This never ever hurt my enjoyment of the show. And, I love Leo McKern's Number Two as well. He is a favorite. Oh, and the supervisor does have a number. You can almost tell the number in Arrival. You can almost tell the number in Chimes of Big Ben. I would have to look at a wiki or something to remember his specific number. The only person who isn't referred to by name or number in these two episodes--he doesn't wear one--is The Butler.

I was today years old when I realized that Garibaldi's second in command said, "Be seeing you," and gave THAT hand salute after Garibaldi tried interrogating him.
