My Last JK Rowling Video Ever (I Hope) - ROUGH CUT (Patreon)

Here's the rough cut for my big JK Rowling video. It's gonna be (hopefully) my last one ever, so it's gonna cover everything. It starts off being about Hogwarts Legacy but secretly is about a much bigger issue. Also, there's a lot of contentious topics, and I'm still editing this, so if there's any thoughts or comments, let me know. Happy to hear any critique. In terms of stuff missing, there's some missing music, sfx, and a few quotes from people that I need to go through, as well as some detail work and a couple missing shots, but overall this is 90% done I think.

Thank you so so much for talking about how antisemitism and transphobia are inextricably linked and pointing out how the framing of that story matters, because I've heard a lot of trans gentiles use the same "transphobia alone" narrative uncritically. As a trans Jew, thank you for considering that important intersection.

At this point I'm just going to skip any text without voiceover because that's clearly not something missed, but just in the 10% not done yet. I will point out that at 1:34:42 you have both the Matt Lauer clip's audio and your voice over going at the same time.

The cut at 2:08:54 feels a bit rough. Like the framing is the same between clips, but you suddenly jump position.

Just a heads up that the poster at 53:56 isn't a nazi Germany poster, but a 1938 French edition cover of 'the protocols of the Elders of Sion', an deeply antisemitic text originally from Russia (from what I could gather, and which may or may not have actually been first written in French, in Paris) from the beginning of the century. Your point still stands though, just me being a pedant :), it's just that it's very obvious to me as I speak French, and the title is in French.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is one of the oldest and most enduring antisemitic conspiracy theory documents in history and has been used in the targeting of Jewish people for multiple genocides/mass displacements/pogroms throughout history. While it predated Hitler’s rise to power, parts of it were in fact taught by the Nazis to children in school during the Holocaust, just as aspects of it are unfortunately still prominent to this day in antisemitic conspiracy theories/movements.
