Aw, Jessie. You're the best. :) You've long since convinced me about Lower Decks. During the first season, I thought of it as just this fun comedy Trek show to have some laughs and forget my problems (which it was). But as I recently watched all of the next two seasons, I became more and more convinced that it's the best. I'll add a caveat that it's new so I hadn't seen all the episodes already like with DS9. So, I'll just say: equal to DS9. It's now gotten to where I watch an episode of any ST and then check to see if you've done a review because it ain't over until your review is part of the viewing.

Follow-up. I do realize that, of course, TOS, TNG, DS9 and V were in a different era where things couldn't be as explicit. Even Jadzia was only able to play a little with the idea of being lesbian because she was a trill and had been both male and female at different times. So it's great to see ST always pushing the envelope. Speaking as a bi white male, it's great to see ST challenging assumptions about gay, lesbian, bi, trans and other people, some of which are issues that when I was a kid in the '60s and a teenager in the '70s wasn't even on the map yet or barely so.

L Tantivy

It's possibly just that he's flanked by cartoon characters, but his eyes look _tiny_ in that thumbnail.
