After the first three episodes, I was ready to check out of what was turning into a REALLY boring season. Then ep.4 rolled around and I was impressed, to say the least. It immediately won me over. Just seen ep.5 and it was good. Like, really good. Excellent, in fact. The metaphor was a bit forced in a very well-intentioned-but-slightly-missing-the-point 1990s TNG sort of way, but I was delighted to see the concept being given respect. The acting was impressively top-notch and the emotion felt earned. The script and story was clever and well thought-out. However it was handled, I'm still pleased such a well meaning attempt was made to address this subject at all, and it certainly helps that it was in such a damn fine episode of television.

As an aside, I know a lot of Liverpool FC fans and they were very happy with the inclusion of "You'll Never Walk Alone."
