It's validating to know that I'm not the only person who's frustrated with DIsney's marketing building up expectations just to let the audience, and/or sections thereof, down in the end. That's not even getting into how Disney treats BIPOC actors, which is especially noticeable in a show where both ostensible leads - Boba Fett & Fennec Shand - are played by BIPOC actors, and has also been spoken on by John Boyega. I really enjoyed the first two seasons of The Mandalorian but it feels like Disney's doing something similar to what they did w/ the mcu circa 2015, throwing out prior aspects of narrative so they can use characters as action figures to make big money. tldr; the disregard that BoBF has for the titular character has me walking away from star wars canon again, so I'm off to settle into my queer corner of fandom and watch new content vicariously, like through your reviews <3
