Thank you for being so open with us. Sometimes it helps to talk these things out, and I'm glad we're here for that!

Thanks for the update, but I trust you realize somebody in your office will see it and now they know your plans. I hope that works out okay for you

You've got this, Jessie! I have total faith you'll grow this channel enough to follow your heart. (Also, in the background, Vale is shouting "Date ME, Jessie! I'm not available, but that doesn't matter!" So, you know, you've got options, lol)

Jessie Earl

Yeah that’s a worry haha, but also the video is just Patreon only so the odds are low.

I appreciate your openness and I'm super excited for what's to come for you.

Hannah F.

Work-life balance is a thing, Jessie. So is occupational burnout. So please, never apologise about wanting to actually live a bit and not just work. ❤️

You’re a smart cookie and I’m sure in time it will all work our for you! I look forward to your videos, reviews, thoughts, options and recommendations. It’s been cool watching your channel grow! Rock on :)

As others have said, you can do this. I've got complete confidence in your ability to meet those goals and go forward. You talked about hoping you didn't seem ungrateful. You don't, but frankly I don't subscribe to the theory of gratitude where employment is concerned. You worked for that job, you earned that job and you are provided a service that is needed to the people who hired you and the community they serve. Being happy you were able to achieve it makes sense, but gratitude implies a kind of debt and that is not the case at all. You should always feel like it is not only possible but appropriate to be honest about your feelings to groups you trust and choose to be open with. Feeling overworked and tired is absolutely valid even if you love your job with every fiber of your being - trust me, I know, I'm a veterinary technician in ER work. I love it but it is exhausting and even then it's not precisely my. passion. I haven't hit a point where I can reach for my passions yet but when I do, I'm going to go for it and you shouldn't worry that it shows ingratitude for you to do the same. It's brave, it's admirable, I'm sure parts of it are terrifying, but it is absolutely a life path you have every right to pursue - one I am honored you've chosen to share with us. Also - we have something to do with your ability to reach for that goal, that's true, but I think you have a little more to do with it than 0.01%. You can give yourself a little more credit! You're amazing. Sorry I rambled on like that; when I speak up I tend to have a fair bit to say. I'll try not to write novels in your comments section all the time. <3

We're rooting for you, Jessie! You got this! Very excited to see this dream of yours become a reality. Oh, so you're in the dating pool, eh...? You wouldn't happen to be interested in... someone who is halfway across the country? ;) (I kid but only somewhat)

it's a scary choice to make, staying with the not ideal but decent safe job, or following the risky road to your dream. you're showing a lot of courage in choosing the dream, and a lot of wisdom in making a workable plan for it. one of my favorite Trek quotes that i don't think gets as much play is from Kirk, "Risk...risk is our business."

Jessie Earl

That is a quote I often think of when I think of this. Thanks for being in my brain haha
