Star Trek Picard gave us the return of Seven of Nine, one of Star Trek's  best characters in the enter franchise. Yet, like much of Star Trek  Picard, Seven of Nine's story polarized fans, especially for many of us  who saw a character we loved still dealing with trauma and a loss of  hope decades after we last saw her. While many saw this as a back step  for the character, I'm here to argue why Seven of Nine's story on Star  Trek Picard excellently portrays the lingering effects of trauma, even  years after it happens.
