Nice job! I like the Instagram shoutout. Always looking for good painters to follow.

Hey Scott, great video as always. I’ve been pushing a lot to the players in my playgroup to avoid stripping paintjobs until they fee the explicit need to go back and change stuff. This is a great example of that— giving something the label of “finished” until you have the opportunity to go back. Also, peep that sweet sweater 👀

Great video man! I love you featuring a female creator in your space. I was kind of surprised that the advice she gave matched up so closely to the make-up advice I get from the make-up YouTubers that I watch. The placement of the highlight and contour match up so much with the modern make-up techniques that I use when painting miniatures. I mean, even extreme examples like Drag Queens like Trixie Mattel can give you the placement of highlights and contour to make a more male face look feminine or soft. Even watching Hexian customize Barbies with drag queen make-up has given me a ton of helpful tricks for eyes and eye make-up. I find it so strange that more male mini-painters aren't asking women for advice on how to sculpt faces. We literally do it every day!

I also felt OK stripping this model because it was only 1 very small part of it. It took around 15 minutes to get it fully cleaned up so I didn't lose a ton of time.

Hi Audduck! I'm not sure if it's because I put videos out about painting miniatures and faces are a normal inclusion, but I hear pretty constantly about make up tutorials being valuable resources for painting faces. Kat mentioned them in our little conversation as well! At some point, I'd like to check them out to see if there's anything beyond what I'm already familiar with (I'm sure there is) and then apply that knowledge to a new mini to paint!
